They’ve actively shown themselves sit down and write lyrics in their music videos and constantly claim that it’s them writing but the newer slang is from their grandsons- they’re pretty transparent about it so I’m really inclined to believe that it’s almost entirely them writing

It's only the haters and people who can't write who think that everything is ghost written. Anyone with a brain can tell they have a huge input on what goes into the lyrics. But you are right, it doesn't matter.

It just doesnt matter if they don't write 100%. Frank Sinatra is not remembered as a lyricist - and what very little he did write, nobody could give one single damn about. Those 4 or 5 forgettable numbers that Sinatra wrote lyrics for are not what his legacy is built on - and those songs are not the ones that ensure he's recognised for all Time.... Just sayin'.
