Supreme Court judges are confirmed by our elected representatives and all of Trump's nominees swore that they wouldn't challenge Roe V Wade. They lied, plain and simple, to get into their seats. So no, Supreme Court judges do deserve to be held to account when they go back on their word. They were indirectly confirmed by a democratic process that IS influenced by the citizenry/ public opinion. You're essentially arguing for complete power and autonomy of the Supreme Court which is counter to the checks and balances framework of our nation. I'll also say that the Supreme Court INTERPRETS the law... which is subjective in nature. If they made their determinations objectively then we wouldn't be in this current situation. The first ammendment guarantees our right to redress grievances... Supreme Court is part of that government... and thats exactly what these protesters were doing.

Americans seem to be at a point where everything our parents taught us NOT to do, is exactly what politicians and media, especially on the right, just love to do. Threaten, insult, insinuate, bully. And on and on. Civility is frowned upon and politicians who are the most belligerent get the best photo shots. I do blame media to some degree. If they would just ignore the vitriol and belligerence it would cease to exist since such negativity thrives on attention. Of course , ultimately, it's all about bucks and media brings in a ton.

Yeah, I'm kinda worried about the husband part. What happens to all the married G&L people if the sc strikes down marriage equality. Do they revert to being "roomates" as the sc is trying to make gay illegal again. They really need to do some house cleaning at the 3rd branch, the 2nd and the 1st
