This guy is one down to earth, world surfer. His comeback was inspiring to me as it was after such a huge stint of depression... That was so beautiful, of course Opportunity was a very meaningful song for me growing up too! Occy is such a legend for giving it a go! You can get more of Occy singing on his occcast with Jack Johnson. I can never get enough of this stuff! Thanks guys!

So good... I met Occy as a young Grommie on the Gold Coast in probably 1985 at Burleigh Heads.Great to see him doing well. These sessions are brilliant and I get the chance to play along with you at the end. Love this Pete and I wish the view count had a zero at the end because that's what they deserve.

Occy was lucky that he met Beatrice at that stage of his life where the Black Dog was doing its best to use any chance of someones depression to bring them down further. But me Pete i crossed paths with my Ex who was one of your exes in Kellie D and she used it against me doing her best to make me worse which was during and after recently surviving cancer and my dad dying in front of me. Safer to stay single and chase waves.

I put on weight aged 24, then around aged 40....

Occy is more genuine with alcohol and drugs / and because of that he has so many fans / he belonged to surf culture / now he's out / i liked to know that sponsor of Occy paid him for a few years to stay at home drinking and smoking without surfing / because his sponsor knows what surf culture is / the rebel sport is / i love alcohol but i only drink at night / and during the day i surf and make art / at night my best friend is a bottle of whiskey or 2.5 liters of wine or 5 liters of beer / sometimes more
