Ladies and Gentleman this is the Golden period - 1988 to 1996. What a great period for HipHop Music. Some many different styles of HipHop, plus the RAPPERS were had their own style as well.. From Gran Puba to Common, from Chuck D to Q-tip, from Busta Rhymes to Snoo Dogg. Hip Hop music best period hands down.

...days when THE SOURCE and THE VIBE were the epitome of the HIP HOP CULTURE, when oversized jerseys and baggy jeans were cool, when you saved all your pennies to get the latest hiphop compilation, when hiphop beef was raw, emotional and could alienate you from your peers, when your parents didn't understand why you were into the "weird" music, when hiphop actually meant you belonged to a urban elite group that no only the few initiates could understand...yes those were days!!!

@@mattmurphy2755 you must be an A T C Q diehard fan to say that🕵. I liked atcq's presence on this Soundtrack, yet Peace Prosperity, & Paper beat dragged too much...I mean, I liked it but it wasn't mixed/equalized right. This The Rap World track was very unique and kinda stood out from the rest of the tracks because it was Two Producers spitting some of the hottest lyrics, the beat was hot, and the hook was fire. It could have been on rotation on every major radio...damn they could've actually made a whole album together....hell they could've created a whole album both of them produced with OthEr rappers spitting on it. This track alone embodied so much potential. Heck even Biggies last words to Pete Rock was "That shit you and Large Professor did? ...Shit is hot".🔥

Wish I could've caught that video. The subtle swing, ghost notes and changes in the drums make it sound so complex. I've been sitting on a beat for about 1-2 years because I can't pick out what I want to duplicate from the drums of this track. I don't want to get it wrong and feel like I can't accomplish what I want

This track is perfect just the way it is. It woulda been wavy if they made a video though. Some other rappers I could picture on this beat are Slick Rick, CL Smooth, Rakim, and maybe even Nas or Biggie. Only few rappers could pull off bars on this smooth ass beat.

People DO know that this is every bit Large Professor's song as it is Pete Rock's, right? And, since Pete DOESN"T WRITE HIS RHYMES, this becomes even more of a song by LARGE PROFESSOR!!! I love both producers though. But, RHYMEWISE, The Soul Brother can NEVER touch The Mad Scientist!!!
@kendo5129 жыл бұрын
+annnan Lyrically I think CL outshines Large Pro, but Large Pro outshines Pete Rock.
@gamingntea9 жыл бұрын
Whoever said anything about CL Smooth?! Unless you're implying that he writes Pete Rock's rhymes, in which case you're almost completely wrong. There's only ONE song CL wrote PR's rhymes in and that's What's Next On The Menu. And CL and LP are simply too incomparable to each other to put them in a contest.
@kendo5129 жыл бұрын
annnan Large Pro and Pete Rock aren't very similar either.

Some sample rhymes I wrote to this beat. Hope you like.... This guy MJB I wonder who is he does he spit hot fire consistently? or is he a mere person who raps with immaturity? he's an emcee who's introverted and mysterious don't be ridiculous he's not inconspigious for him rarely writing rhymes is inevitable he hates competition so he's noncompetible it's not theoretical he's incredibly poetical inside the hip hop world he should be eligible his raps can be rougher than a brillo pad scrubbing rappers staining hip hop which y'all should be glad it makes me mad all this commercialism is a fad it brings out the ignorance in people which is truly sad his lyrical whimsiness is his expertism the bars he spit can fuck with your head like an aneurism haters with skepticism give out massive criticism it's clear as a prism when he rhymes he drops wisdom he never raps about hustling rocks or cocking glocks starting trouble or letting off shots down the block just because he's peaceable it doesn't make him soft a non-violent persona is weak; your facts are way off he's also a mediocre vernacularist like Keith Murray "the most beautifullest vocabularist" dropped a few rhymes he seldomly got dissed maybe they're jealous cuz' they can't drop jewels like this it's a shame these fake rappers are idolized all the bullshit they express is greatly emphasized the morality and love for the music is minimized the deterioration of the real hip hop they fail to realize
