This was such a great interview. I liked how Pete and Joel talked more about personal life things than FOB/SMFS (not in bad way). It’s quite interesting. ❤

Finally got the chance to listen to this in full and such a good pod! Fall Out Boy making truly amazing art and still able to maintain a 20+year friendship is something thats so cool. To have the maturity to know when you need to take breaks and to ignore the toxicity in the industry and keep true to what they decide is the Fall Out brand. Just cool talented guys.

an amazing conversation to listen to! it's really nice to hear men talk about emotionally maturing and fatherhood and redefining your values and like.. supporting your kids to go to therapy! bless you 🙏🏼 ♥️

I had such a similar experience to Joel. I was homeschooled for middle and high school because of health issues. I am still trying to make up for those lost connections.

I really connect with what ypu are sating at 31:00 and before about fatherhood. All the dads in our generation are so engaged and involved with their families. I remember reading inteviews about Benji and Joel in the early years... how their music was so hungry for fame... acceptance... and I think all we really need is love, and our families give us a reason, our kids give us the love, and... just, yeah, that's all that matters. Respect Pete for saying, if you are going to leave your family to tour, it better be for something you believe in, because those kids grow up fast. SMFSD is a great album, great songs. I would say more, but gotta keep listening to this. Also, please keep the full videos!!!

What Pete was saying about “Metallica is just Metallica, it’s its own identifying factor etc” SO applies to fall out boy. Nobody sounds quite like them! Same with panic! And twenty one pilots

me and a few musical friends call the odd description thing speaking in lyric. because after so long writing lyric or fitting music to the lyrics than you kinda gain lyric like it's own dialect maybe it's like a full language. 😅 im notorious for sliding into it at the worst times. i have examples but they're only appropriate when they are happening at the time.

Fall Out Boy has definitely reached the point of their band name being the descriptor. They’re just.. they’re Fall Out Boy lol

thats what you took from this? lol. people that have their brains wired faster than their voices have to use transitional words more. I know that might be hard to understand for you lol.

Seems to like be "like" a standard part of "like" American English for "like" some reason or other. It's rather strange how it's so common there.
