Hi @PeteNetLive, this video is a good start cos I just got a job where they left their 2 DCs on Windows Server 2008. Just a couple of question 1. Does the method guarantee all DCs objects will be moved to the new DC? 2. The two DCs also have DHCP server role configured on them as they give out IP addresses to different subnets in the building, does migrating this way migrate the roles as well?

Great video. I have Exchange 2007 running on a SBS2008 with function level set to 2003. I want to add a 2019DC and initially leave the FSMO roles, whilst I move the business applications and data to other domain servers. I understand I have to raise the function level to 2008 before I can create the 2019DC. Can I assume that changing the functional level and creating the 2019DC will not damage Exchange? Then I want to move the mailboxes to an Office365 tenant before finally move the FSMO roles and demoting the 2008DC.

In other videos, it shows person running a forestprep and domainprep. Does this need to be done when moving from 08 to 19?

Great article, i am just about to under take this. According to Microsoft Server 2019 is supported on FFL and DFL 2008 level? docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/identity/ad-ds/active-directory-functional-levels
