these vids will never stop being on my daily playlist. Hearing Ed talk proudly about his art show and Fantagraphics does hurt my heart a bit. We will miss the greatness you still had in store for us, Ed. RIP

The night this video premiered I just picked up an entire run of Johnny Ryan’s Angry Youth Comix at a flea market. They also had a nearly complete run of Hate with five of the Hate Annuals too. I didn’t get it and it haunted me. That changed yesterday. The flea market still had it, and I got it. Now I’m waiting for my comic shop to get the new Hate Revisited in for me.

Couldn't wait to see this one since the notification came up. Bagge is such a sharp guy. Funny as all hell.

I don't know that Hate is a thing that should ever be considered complete. . . .

Great to hear you two conversing! Pete rules. Speaking of Burne Hogarth, he contributed a story to my BIG MOUTH comic back in the 1990's around the time of the Misfit Lit comics show. It was one of the craziest collaborations I did at the time...

I think Pete was trying to remember the name Allan MacDonell who was the executive editor over Hustler and all the other adult magazines.

Oh, and I just remembered being told during my time at Hustler that Larry Flynt HATED Bagge's art style.

Hate has been consistently on the stands since the 90's in Spain. The work is so enjoyable. It is a parody but I would say that Bagge's stuff rings more true than the typical American mainstream to the European eye. Anyway, happy to hear that his success here has led him to do more Hate material.
