The Philadelphia Story is one of the most civilized, intelligent, charming of all film comedies. Also, it was the movie that convinced me Ms. Hepburn was a great actress.

I loved The Great McGinty - it was the quintessential buddy movie with two devilish and crooked pols Brian Donlevy and Akim Tamiroff as the improbable besties. That last shot of Jane Darwell in Grapes of Wrath...WOW.
