I really feel that Carla is modern Corrie's version of Elsie Tanner. She's an elegant, tough, Northern lady who plays by her own rules, but often lets her heart rule her head. This often leads to her getting kicked down by life, but she always manages to dust herself off and come back out fighting again. Are there any other 'seasoned' viewers out there who see the similarities ?

Hate when someone claims in these soaps that someone else needs professional help them in about 2 episodes later they have already started treatment, like that a rarity in real life and in these shows they sometimes have characters complain about how they had waiting list when discussing getting the help for the new situation but in reality of there time line their wasnt any waiting

I like his character as Peter Barlow, his name especially Barlow is one of the original family from The Street, his mother Val, Ken's 1st wife died in a electrical iron fault, Peter was only a baby then.

Peter Barlow is a very 3 dimensional character. He’s been right and wrong in his whole role in coronation street but he’s also very empathetic. Same as Carla. Probably the best 2 characters in recent Corrie history.

Peter seriously needs to put what happened behind him, it's the same thing that comes out of his mouth, i killed someone, he killed stephen because he thought stephen was going to kill jenny, which turned out he wasn't but peter didn't know that at the time, he was cleared of killing stephen and audrey had forgiven him, as far as everyone else was concerned, it finished with but peter can't let it go, he's the reason he's like this because like i said, he can't let it go, if i were carla I'd be getting to the end of my patience because no matter what she says, he's right back there wallowing in his own self pity
