This gives me a feeling that makes me want to cry. The 80's were my childhood. My grandpa was alive, my aunt was alive and so many friends were still here. Life was so much nicer. People were nicer. Everyone was married lol. If I could go back in time I would hug everyone a little longer. 😢

Straight beautiful white people are shunned now. Nothing against anyone else, but let's face what we are really looking at culturally. The end of good entertainment was the mid 2000s. Now it's all woke, shoe horned agenda jammed down everyone throat. Hence, no more good music or movies

If you notice in the video Amy and Peter never meet up. There is always space between them along with the dancers. This is to give the impression that they know each other but from a distance. The dancers represent other people that come in and out of their lives but they don’t fall in love with. Overall a good way to tell a musical story that works with the words of the song.

There will never be another decade like the 80s. Best time of my life. I was in my teens to very early 20s. I lived a 1/4 mile away from Six Flags in Arlington Texas with a season pass every year. I raced dirt bikes, learned how to play guitar, wore the parachute pants with concert t-shirts and had the time of my life. I can remember when this song came out in 86. Having the 80s music to listen to was just the icing on the cake! The music after the 80s, it started rolling down hill fast and in a bad way. Seem like it all got stupid. I would give everything I own to go back and enjoy those times I had back then again. Good times 😉👍

Notice how Peter and Amy are never together in the same scene? The video accurately reflects the lyrics. It's an unattainable relationship for whatever reason. I would say this is Amy at her most beautiful. It was also her first collaboration outside Christian music at the time.

One of my favourite songs ❤️ Peter Cetera & Amy Grant - Next Time I Fall I just love this song ❤️❤️ Love like a road that never ends How it leads me back again To heartache I'll never understand Darling I put my heart up on a shelf 'Till the moment was right and I told myself Next time I fall in love I'll know better what to do Next time I fall in love Oh oh oh oh oh oh The next time I fall in love The next time I fall in love It will be with you Now as I look into your eyes Well I wonder if it's wise To hold you Like I've wanted to before Tonight oh I was thinking that you might Be the one who breathes life in this heart of mine Next time I fall in love I'll know better what to do Next time I fall in love Oh oh oh The next time I fall in love The next time I fall in love (It will be with you) Next time I'm gonna follow through And if it drives me crazy I will know better why The next time I try Next time I fall in love I'll know better what to do Next time I fall in love Oh oh oh The next time I fall in love The next time I fall in love The next time I fall in love the next time I fall in love

Not a day goes by that i don't think back on those times! I graduated in 1986, remember this song very well and was lucky enough to meet Amy Grant twice through the church i went to. His Chicago days were where it started. I read somewhere he started there as a drummer or percussionist, and his vocal ability was only discovered later. Unbelievable with such a voice. But he's not just all about balads. Chicago's music was often jazzy/funky. I'd recommend a less well known, but personal favorite track by the band, namely "Woman don't want to love me" to experience the other side..
