This has to be one of Peter Cetera’s best performances! He not only looks great, he seems very relaxed and is enjoying his audience.

Probably the best singer in the world,, he doesn't use falsetta to hit the high notes that's his real voice, nobody sings that high without using a falsetto voice, that's what sets him apart from everybody, its hard to believe he's 74 and still sounds that great.. love you Peter Cetera, thank you for your beautiful voice.

Best I’ve heard him sing in decades. This is awesome! Nobody in Chicago has held up nearly as well as Peter. They should have adjusted the keys of their songs and reconciled with him.
@mikestevenson5765 ай бұрын
Lower key on 25 or 6 to 4 would make the whole band sound kind of lame. I think in that Hall of Fame performance they should've replaced Saturday in the Park with one of these Cetera-era classics like Love Me Tomorrow or Hard Habit To Break to give Peter a show stopping sequence and still let the new guy sing the closer.

I'm a big fan of Peter and Chicago. But, what gets me is that He, and Bill Champlin were so unhappy in the band and apparently both left under not so friendly circumstances. And, neither want anything to do with the band. But yet, they keep performing the songs made them millions of dollars and made them famous. I'm sorry. I feel this just a little hypocritical. If they have such harsh feelings towards Chicago... then why keep doing their songs? Why not do original work and leave the band that made you miserable behind you? just a thought.
@bigbromiki16 жыл бұрын
Chris Adams if you wrote a song you sing it as long as you want to
@TruthHurts585 жыл бұрын
What an asinine comment, Chris Adams. When Peter and Bill were singing those songs for Chicago, they were Chicago. The band was nothing at that point in time without them writing and singing songs that radio was willing to play. If anything, Chicago should stop playing songs that Peter and Bill made famous for them. Crap, there are hardly any horns on Peter's Chicago hits from the 80's and Bobby Lamm is hardly singing on most of them.
@michellec-i94155 жыл бұрын
How about how much relentless slandering the former band members have had against Peter as well as any other former band member who's name isn't Terry? I think you need to do your research. Peter has been nothing but professional in taking the high road with regards to what has transpired over the last 30+ years. He has moved on and yes, he took his catalog of Chicago songs with him, he was a founding member. He wrote the songs, he sang them and his fans want to hear them. He was the voice of Chicago and now he's the voice of is solo act.
@lamarravery40945 жыл бұрын
I'll tell you who is hypocritical. Bill and Peter are great, it's their jealous band members. They wanted to be known as a rock band but couldn't write hit rock songs and they were hungry for some hits. Peter comes in writes some ballads and they're hits. Makes lots of money for the band and they bad mouth him and discredit him. So, who's being hypocritical here? Peter stepped up, while the others were drunk or on coke. They should be thankful for Cetera, he saved the band, kept them going through the 80s. And David Foster had a lot to do with their success as well. But Peter's vocals and writing really were huge assets for the band in the 80s.
@sharonlaforest61345 жыл бұрын
@@lamarravery4094 I agree with every statement you made here. So many people criticize Peter for not associating with his former band members in Chicago. He had every right not to appear at the RRHOF ceremony given the treatment he had from them before he left. They never respected Peter for bringing them back up in the 80's when the rest of them were not contributing. In my opinion, Peter should be credited for keeping his distance from his former band mates. He has the decency not to comment and not to appear in the documentary that was televised in 2017. I admire Peter for taking the high road with all of them.

His songs are difficult to sing. He use to sing these effortlessly, but age plays a factor of course. And he had been touring quite a bit, so more rest would've helped as well. I think he still sounds great. I want one more album from Peter, to think of all the albums he could've done in the last 20 yrs. Just like Harrison Ford should've done more Indiana Jones films in the last 30 yrs.
