My man Peter Dinklage as Hercule Poirot? One could not ask for a more perfect casting! Wish they'd have him play the part in a movie / series, too! Not hating on Kenneth Branagh, but his Poirot was...not good.

David Suchet is the best Poirot of all time - noone will ever come close, imho.

@@MothGirl007 He is THE classic Poirot, yes. I should have been more precise: Dinklage is, for me, the absolutely best actor to cast as Poirot right now, i.e. among the current crop of actors within the right age range -mid-forties to mid-sixties, late sixties at the very most. Suchet's past work as Poirot is untouchable, but the man's pushing 80, and Poirot is canonically middle-aged, rather than elderly.

@@jasonlewis3742 Poirot , in the books (which you've never read), is famous for having a physique that isn't physically intimidating, that makes him seem harmless and leads people to underestimate him and in some cases even mock him, so a person with dwarfism playing him would be a million times more fitting than Branagh's action hero bullshit.

@gozerthegozarian9500 Was he ever described as needing a footstool to get on a train then? There's a world of difference between a physically unimposing man and a dwarf. This absolute tool wants to pull up the stepladder after himself so no other little person can get the same opportunities he was given. Can we just stop casting this hobbit in everything now, please?
