That's one thing I admire about Pete. Even without The Libertines, without Babyshambles, without Carl, with just his voice and a guitar he can keep the audience fully engaged for hours on end, always wanting more. He's quite mesmerising when he performs live, I don't know, there's just something about him which makes him truly brilliant

So fucking glad this man exists, and lives and breathes his art and life the only way he know's how. Pete's a grossly and absurdly under-rated talent. Get very very fed with the ''junkie'' tag... AND? Concentrate on the songs... It's funny how the Lemmy, Ozzy, Nikki Sixx, Toxic Twins, Iggy Pop, Bowie, Lou Reed, Shaun Ryder, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, and Keith Richards types were all idolised and even lauded for their drug-fuelled and hedonistic lifestyles, but when Pete succumbed, he was cruelly berated, and his song-writing talents were either shunned or not taken seriously. How absurd is that!.... Oh well. Fuck 'em. Pete's an incredible talent, and a great bloke.
