When I seen Ebdon’s brave pink and the video 12 minutes long I was expecting that to be the only shot in the video

Rubbish comment... Watch Higgins 59 v white in 82 semi... Many shots better.. The blue for example.. Take a look...

@@tommycanavan8285 , nah I gotta go with Ebdon's pink as well. Higgins' 69 might be the better break overall but in terms of single shots, that pink was remarkable.

I have watched thousands of top quality snooker shots over the years. IMO that pink was THE GREATEST SHOT EVER IN THE HISTORY OF SNOOKER, because of the context. Semi-final of the World Championships, if he missed he was out of the tournament. This shot inspired him to comeback and win the match against the odds and then do exactly the same in the final in the deciding frame against Stephen Hendry, one of the all time greats. Peter Ebdon, often gets slated by SOME of the snooker world for being a slow and deliberate player, but he was someone who did not have the natural talent of say a Jimmy White, however, he absolutely maximised his potential with his incredible attitude and application. He left the game of snooker not only being able to say "I won the world title" but also being able to say "I once played probably the best shot in the history of the game!". Well done Peter Ebdon!

I totally agree Peter ebdon wasn’t the fastest player in the world however he was consistent. There’s no point being an exciting player but misses. I would not mind playing slow like Peter if I could play anywhere near that standard. He won the world championship once and that’s good enough. Jimmy white was a brilliant player but he couldn’t say he was a world champion that’s the difference

This is the greatest clearance and Hendrys decider frame clearance against Doherty in the same tournament. For me Hendry and Ebdon are the 2 greatest pressure players I've ever seen along with Higgins
@pyrrhicvictory69782 жыл бұрын
Higgins actually chokes alot of matches now, choked his last 3 finals including losing from 9-4 up to Robertson. But in his prime I agree hes up there. I also wouldn't put Ebdon in my top 2 your forgetting Williams, Ronnie, Selby, all great pressure players. Hendry, Ronnie, Higgins, Williams, Selby, the best pressure players for me.

@@pyrrhicvictory6978 Ebdon has a solid h2h against Higgins. Agreed Higgins has been choking lately. His records in WC finals is a sign.

@@pyrrhicvictory6978 ronnie is good but I've seen Ebdon take Ronnie apart under pressure. Peak Hendry too. Mark Williams is a good shout

Anyone notice that with that crazy shot on the red, when snookered, Peter also moved the brown in an easier position minding where the green was? It would have been a lot more difficult to play the green with the rest and position for the brown on the other side cushion and then screw for the blue. Incredible luck there, but Matthew was really careless not to get a tight snooker behind the pink.

Admittedly Ebdon is now a maniac who spends his days on Twitter saying that COVID is a globalist plot, but I actually forgive him due to this pot. The greatest, bravest pot I have ever seen a snooker player play.

Amazing how one shot can change a frame, a match, a tournament even a career. If Matthew got the snooker when rolling up to the pink (which was an easy shot) he would have had ebdon in a world of trouble and chances are he would have won. Made a mess of that ine shot them didn't win another frame. Mad really
