It’s hard to believe this is from 76’ , AFTER Alive came out. I don’t remember what month I saw them twice in 76 at the Inglewood forum but it was unbelievable! His solos here are tired weak and unrefined. Perhaps he was exhausted Sound is tinky too. Nevertheless,he’s the most unsung, underrated guitarist. There’s very few live performances from the top rock guitarists that were able to get something down on vinyl that compares with Comes Alive. Jimmy page was THE master in the studio, live , not so much. Frampton Live in Detroit is a mind blower too !

It 's such a difference from the Frampton Comes Alive version. Every song on that album was played with gusto and the solos were inspired and energized. You can't be at the top of your game all the time. That's for certain. Still, he gave us great music that has stood the test of time.
