Bijou reduces me to tears. Gripping. When I first heard Bijou I thought, “ oh, it’s an instrumental.”. Then I heard Freddie sing those two lines and I lost it. The emotion in his voice as he says My Bijou.

Innuendo is one of my favorite Queen albums. I find myself listening to it a lot theses days because that album makes a clear statement to us that yes, the end is coming but keep yourself going and be free and love life. You can be anything you want to be and be free to yourself. Pretty awesome for someone who knows there fate. For me, that entire album is Freddie saying his goodbye to us and he did it in a wonderful way. He flat out looks into the camera and tells us, “I still love you.” That took a lot of courage and our reply back, we still love you.

My mother, who passed away last year, was a Queen fan and introduced me to their music when I was very little. Her favourite album was A Night At The Opera, and we often listened to it at home. She claimed I recognised and liked Queen's music even before I started talking! I knew that the singers name was Freddie Mercury, I've seen him in the photographs and in the music videos, and when the news broke out in 1991 that he had died, I cried, even though I was only 6 years old. I remember we went out and mom bought me "the new album", Innuendo, on a cassette tape. I couldn't stop listening to it over and over. I started to learn English so I could understand the lyrics. I became a huge Queen fan, them and Freddie in particular meant the world to me. Some years later I made my first real friends who were also Queen fans... To this day I consider Innuendo to be my favourite Queen record. Not only because of nostalgia, I think it's one of the best albums ever made. Amazing, diverse, very strong work. And it's nice of Peter to mention Bijoux - one of my favourite tracks that is rarely appreciated.

Hello again Peter. It's good to see you again and hear you tell your Freddie Mercury stories that the world hungers for. I am a 68 year old female from America. The 70's, 80's and 90's was my heyday. Don't know if things will ever get back to what we know as normal. But during my time of staying home and social distancing with my 5 cats, 1 of which is named Freddie Mercury but I call him Merc I have an abundance of time to listen to Freddie and Queen. Reread some of my books and order a few new ones. The coronavirus is ravaging our country and others around the world. One day I hope to visit Montreaux and see Freddie's statue, amongst other many fun things to do there. I am still waiting to get my vaccination, don't know where all of these millions of doses are going, but one has not come my way yet. Stay safe Peter, enjoy life as much as possible under current conditions. Thank you for the video. Innuendo is a favorite of mine and the video where he looks directly at the camera and says " I do love you" makes me cry. Thank you for being a loyal friend to Freddie and his fans.

It makes me so sad to hear Freddie stayed away from friends when he was ill. Around the time as Freddie's death, I lost a friend & a cousin to AIDS and just a few years ago my Dad died from cancer. Each of their final times were utterly horrible - so, so difficult. I was there so I perfectly well know that with my logic, but not in my heart. With my heart I only remember these magnificent people in my life, their love & support, the fun we had, sharing their triumphs & joys. Laughing with Dad until neither of us could breathe. Flowers suddenly arriving from my friend for no reason but that he'd randomly seen some he knew I'd love. I could go on for pages. Those are the things which stay. Everything else fades because, compared to the years I had with these marvellous people, the illness doesn't matter.

I've only recently discovered the history behind Queen, Freddie Mercury and the songs on albums like Innuendo; I have always been aware of queen (obviously) but never really delved into them too deep. To cut a long story short, These Are the Days of Our Lives breaks my heart every time I hear it and especially the video. I wasn't even born when he passed, but I feel like I know him like I was around during those days. How can I miss someone I have never even met?

Oh, Peter... I 'm. teary-eyed seeing your facial expressions of how much you miss your dearest friend.... bless you sweet man for taking care of him the way you did. Your voice quivers sadly sometimes when you speak so beautifully about him. I lost my dearest friend too, a songwriter & piano player of a 70s Rock band... he stopped all his meds at the age of 35 when his Multiple Sclerosis returned & he lost the use of his fingers, legs & eyesight . He was writing an album for Sony when his MS remission ended, so like Freddie he decided if he couldn't play & record music anymore, life was not worth living. He ended his own life . He was enthralled by a new band named Queen & especially Freddie & introduced me to their 1st album. To this day I listen to Queen & Freddie's solos almost every day. Once heard there's no comparison, is there? It nags at me there is one song that we wrote but he wasn't strong enough to finish . It perfectly describes why he & your best friend stopped taking their meds & the song is so tender & lovely . But, it's not meant to be finished I suppose. I would love to share the lyrics with you but would never post them publicly on here. If you have a way I can send them to u, let me know, I would trust you implicitly ... its like Freddie wrote them with us, they speak for him & Larry too.... if you want to take a peek, let me know @ coopersusan503@gmail.com I'll warn u, they are so beautifully written you'll wish Freddie had sung them... if only just once. Take care, Phoebe.
