Yet somehow, even though we were generally past racism by the 70s and 80’s, we have somehow supposedly regressed and have become a racist society again. How did that happen? Democrat leadership with the aide of the media resurrected it to divide us and split us into teams, teams that will vote one way or another. Open your eyes. You’re being manipulated. Think for yourself and look around you. Don’t be dragged into that hopeless abyss.

The way Peter includes several people of different cultures who sing in different languages is moving to me, and I think it captures what humanity is all about... or at least, what it should be about. One of the most influential artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, Peter Gabriel did not make musical and lyrical nonsense. His songs have deep meaning as is the case with "In Your Eyes." Maybe the most beautiful love song composed and performed by Peter Gabriel with his world-class band, on African rhythms, that's the world music. A particularity of the humanist Peter Gabriel who also works for Amnesty International. I will also mention the exciting and very good solo on the piano by David Sancious. It's really a song for African dance with and all around Peter Gabriel. I will also mention Jennie Abrahamson on vocals/ background vocals. Do you realise that Mister Peter Gabriel is about 70 years old with a surprising energy for singing and dancing. Why? Because - as he told me - "he is totally connected with his music and with his artists".

I've been listening to this song for many years now...this is a song of worship to our Creator.......I listen to it at night when I can't sleep from all my worries and in never fails to break me into weeping when Peter sings in your eyes he must know that he's sing in God eyes

PG is a genius. I have followed his entire career. When he played Hamilton, I was a university student. I stood fifth or sixth in line overnight on the sidewalk. Say a stay on 13 hours. If you left the line, you left it. And then back to the end of line. A surreal experience. Well worth it! And I was rewarded with great seats Then a great surreal concert. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Волшебными являются именно те мгновения в жизни,когда создается и рождается музыка. Дай Бог здоровья Питеру Гэбриелу, за все прекрасное,что он делает для людей.

There have been some wonderful performances of this song since I first heard it in 1984 (-ish) It is a Great Joy to see the original line-up from the SO album return to play it live. Bless all those who played a part in bringing this show to us here - online - around the world. And thank you Peter for the new intro/extro: "Accepting all I've done and said..." A reminder that we can't escape our past or take back anything we've seen and done - so let us choose wisely where we are to place our attention.

One of the featured singers is Swedish Singer-songwriter Jennie Abrahamsson. She actualy sings some words in Swedish. I mina ögon ser jag ljus och värme, i mina ögon är jag hel. In my eyes I see light and warmth, in my eyes I am whole.

"Mercy Street" is, without doubt, my favorite song, by my favorite artist, in honor of one of my mother's poems. She was the poet Anne Sexton, to whom the performance is dedicated. I know Mom would be awash in admiration and gratitude were she to hear it now, or to have heard it at its debut. Thank you Peter Gabriel for bringing her work to the public in such a magnificent way.

It doesn't get any better than this. I saw him a million years ago in Atlanta. To this day it's still the best concert I've ever been to. I cried during this song, the song has a lot of meaning in my life. And just now listening to it again, it will always remain my favorite song.
