So, I will get this out of the way: I have strong theological objections to the film and its source novel. However… I absolutely love the album. It’s one of my favourite scores and albums in general. I hear it as a soundtrack of the human spiritual struggle to commune with God. I even listen to it on Holy Friday. And yes, it absolutely is a true melding of various music traditions. To get even more personal, when I made the album City of Vices, I had Passion as a reference point as I imagined the music reflecting a particular kind of world: Blade Runner as if it were set in Constantinople. The first track, “Morning” (or Sabah), strongly reflects this idea. (Dead Can Dance was another reference point I had for similar reasons).

Blade Runner in Constantinople, sounds awesome, I'd watch that film 😃 Love Dead Can Dance, hopefully there will be a video on them as well in the future. Thanks for the consistent support 🙌
