I love this collaboration and your reaction. I will echo many comments that you should check out Avi's solo music! All the suggestions are great, I will add mine:. When I'm a Fool live from Sunset Sound studios. Thanks again, cheers!

Love your reaction and pleased to see you react to Avi 😍 You should really check his solo work, you can almost not believe it because it is so good. His first solo song is Change on the rise and you'll see how different it is from Pentatonix, and you'll get the meaning behind it. Great song. When I'm a fool live at Sunset Sound with Shooter Jennings, is just an other masterpiece. You should check this absolutely. Thanks 😘

Great reaction! You should check out Avi Kaplan solo stuff. It is fantastic. Would recommend Change on the rise or I'm only getting started.

Similarities between this video and some of Pentatonix's (such as "Daft Punk Medley", "Can't Hold Us" and "Love Again") might have something to do with the fact that all of them were filmed and edited by FifGen Films.

The song is a 17th century Scottish song.

I love your reactions and I hope you’ll look into Avi solo too! It’s absolutely phenomenal! Most people seems to start with Change on the rise but Chains, Only getting started, Get down or All is well are also great!

Avi's solo work is so different from this. He's so talented a singer/songwriter and I wish more people could find out about him. I wish you would react to I'm Only Getting Started. And then anything else he's released.

This is a beautiful arrangement of this traditional folk ballad. Peter & Avi's voices really complement each other with the high & low tones. I enjoy his collaborations with other artists especially basses. Peter & Tim Foust have also done quite a few great songs together. In fact they just released a duet album.

Beautiful reaction. Peter was also in an A Capella group that was on the sing-off (I think he might have been on season 2). He does a lot of songs that are just him layering many harmonies, but he also has done a ton of collaborations (with Tim Foust, Chance, Home Free, and Lindsey Stirling just to name a few). He does, indeed, have a beautiful voice in all parts of his considerable range. I will now echo the request that you react to some Avi solo stuff. It is nothing like the stuff Pentatonix does, but I think you would enjoy it.

This is an old Scottish ballad that has been covered 100s of times, including Nina. You really get a feel for Avi’s classical training in this song. Avi has moved on from performing a cappella, but he is still involved with the A cappella Academy he co-founded for teens to attend each summer. Highly recommend Change on the Rise, Get Down or Chains from Avi’s solo work for his powerful voice and mind-blowing harmonies (all Avi). His song writing is as deep as his bass. 🔥

I’ve followed Pentatonix from their early beginnings, Avi has always been my favorite. This video was my introduction many years ago to Peter Hollens and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. He is a phenomenal vocalist with a range that is almost unparalleled. He also beat boxes, he generally does acapella and does a ton of collaborations with all types of artists. Some of my favorites are with his wife Evynne who is also phenomenal and usually sings with piano accompaniment. I highly, highly recommend you take a trip down the Peter Hollen’s rabbit hole! Also, he loves to watch people react to his stuff and will often comment on their reactions so don’t be surprised if you hear from him! Peace!

Peter Hollens is an awesome singer, insane with the layers! One of my favorites of his is his cover of World of Warcraft's song 'Daughter of The Sea', also I loved his cover of 'Misty Mountains' with Tim Foust from Home Free

Peter Hollins and Tim Foust [fr. Home Free] sing Misty Mountains. It is phenomenal. Geoff Castellucci [fr. Voice Play] sings a song similar, by way of layering, Ghost Riders In The Sky. There is so much excellent music out there! I love your reactions!

Love your facial expression when Avi sang those deep, deep notes. But he is so much more than a bass. I second all suggestions in the comments for more reactions to Avi’s music, you’ll not be disappointed. If you’d like to hear him sing effortlessly in his higher register, I suggest “He don’t love you right”.

Peter Hollens has been performing for many years, and is known for harmonizing with himself using up to 120 over-lays. Check out his cover of “Sky Rim Theam”, (the full version). One of my favorites is his cover of “The Parting Glass”. As the harmonies build, he appears with himself, then fades away to only one of himself as the song ends. Give him look.

One of the most impressive Peter Hollens productions is the theme for "Extinct", a BYU tv show that I never got a chance to see. The music is 102 tracks of just voice and violin, and it is simply extraordinary. In a completely different direction, Peter also did a collaboration with a very young Scott Hoying, a cover of "Turn Up The Music", which is interesting. Even more fun is the BTS video, where Scott, Peter. Jimmy and Riley obviously were enjoying themselves immensely.
