Mate, I’m from Bolton, same as Peter Kay, and all his observations are absolutely bang on, right down to the accent and everything. It’s not just weddings though, it’s any event in a social club, cricket club, golf club party/ christening/ birthday/ wedding anniversary. Bars open! Let’s get pissed! Mans a comedy genius and a local treasure. 👍🏻

Hi Sean.....what you have just watched is literally a British family wedding, particularly from the North of England. I am 46, and this format hasn't changed since I can remember, and is easily interchanged with funerals and christenings. The last time I went to a wedding, the DJ had a perm, sunglasses on, Hawaiian shirt unbuttoned to show his tan and chest hair off, and in the middle of playing Beautiful by Christina Aqualieriea (sp? sorry) he announced that someone from the staff needed to go into the women's toilets to clear a 'blockage' over the speakers - lovely!

you're a tonic to watch mate ! Peter Kay is a comic genius who not only fill arenas but also writes and acts in his own creations. Things like Phoenix nights and Car share. The out takes are hilarious ! Sadly Peter Kay dropped out of the public eye a couple of years back for " personal and family reasons " !! He has not made any attempt to come back where the public would welcome him with open arms !

I’m British and so have known him for a long time! You’re very right there, he’s very observant apart from the odd “ corny jokes!” It’s his own style he’s hilarious 😂 and glad to see you appreciating him in America! I also like to the other extreme in comedy is David Brent’s series there’s one called “ The moaning of life!” And “ An idiot abroad!” Featuring Karl Pilkington who is also unique in his own humour except he’s got a very dry sense of humour and some take him seriously 😒 even in the Uk 🇬🇧 He also plays a bit daft too, but because there’s part of himself amongst it, it’s his as l sad, “ dry sense of humour!” 🙏🙏

If ever anyone wants to question why Peter Kay has been so epically successful, send them to this video, his style, while it might be a bit simplistic to some is loveable, hilarious and, most importantly, bloody universal! Main objective if you're gonna be a comedian - make people laugh. He does this every where he goes!

I'm 53 years old. When I was a kid in the 70's / 80's every wedding I went to was exactly as he described. I was there sliding on my knees with the other boys. It was usually my dad and my sister who would have to get up and show off their rock n'roll dancing. My auntie Pat and cousin Steve were into disco and nightclubbing, so they'd change into their tight leather trousers for the evening and start doing their Travolta moves. As a young lad there would always be one girl there you'd fancy but you'd be too shy to show it, and too shy to dance, so while they were jigging on the floor you'd be rolling around and fighting with the other boys to show off and try and get their attention. What he says about the DJ's is totally on point. They usually had those cheap £200 complete Fal disco units you could buy from the John Moores catalogue, with crap speakers, a cheap Mic and one set of lights. They would never shut up and only played requests if you got one of the pretty bridesmaids to go up and ask. As for the 'breakdancing' - that was me, popping and locking. I taught myself to do it when I was about 14 because some hot girls I knew were always impressed when my mate did it in front of them. Those were the days!

It's kind of weird that it's taken an American for me to watch Peter Kay - not that I disliked him, but just didn't know very much about him - kind of lodged somewhere in the back of my brain. But, yeah, now I realise the gold in Kay's performances. So, thank you, Sean, and keep on doing good stuff, while keeping well and safe during these difficult pandemic times.

I’ve seen a lot of Americans/Canadians reacting to Peter Kay, but I think your reaction is my favourite…..you really get his humour, and you seem totally absorbed….to the point I think you almost forget you’re filming 😂 Very genuine reaction…..makes it even funnier! The UK has its fair share of nøbheads (Jeremy Clarkson, Piers Morgan, Katie Hopkins, James Corden to name a few), so it’s nice to share one of our national treasures, with our Canadian and American cousins…..and see you embrace him, like we do. (Oh, and you can keep James Corden, we don’t need him back here 😉)

You need to see Peter Kays 'Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice' The scene with 2 small people on donkeys, dressed as cowboys, and they say the line "pulls the flags of all nations out of his arsehole". His character in that Geraldine, went on to have a number 1 UK single.
