I remember listening to the album until it had so many skips and gouges I had to replace it. But the old album cover was put up on the wall until it was fly-speckled and yellowed. Love Kottke and Fahey, but Peter Lang's compositions are simply magic. Hearing this again brought me to tears. It's time to replace the old album again.

The Thing At the Nursery Room Window - I was introduced to Peter Lang by one of my college roommates shortly after this LP came out. I think I played the grooves off this album over the years. This piece was one of my favorites on the album - glad to have found this live performance.

I once had an album featuring Lang, Fahey & Kottke... Peter Lang runs wide ovals around both of the others...Great Video & certainly it is under rated

I'm ashamed to admit I'd never really knew the score with Peter Lang even though I "play" the guitar (ha!) and have done for a number of years, but I checked out a tune I thought was one of John Fahey's I'd never heard before, called "Thoth Song", and was blown away by it, only it wasn't Fahey at all! It was Peter Lang, and now begins a whole new adventure of musical discovery! Don't you just love it when that happens!

From his debut album, a monster in itself. Even the cover art is crazy loco good. I've seen Kottke, Fahey and Gulezian. Maybe some day I will complete my Tacoma pilgrimage and see Peter Lang. The smoke is coming off the string...ripping is right.

What ever floats your boat Hon. Obviously you do not have a sophisticated palate (and, how would you play this on the harp). Here, let me explain it: It's called "Bottle Neck"guitar. Lots of people like it.. . . and I guess some don't. If you equate it with disco, then I can guess you have never heard the Country Blues or Blue Grass, both which use the slide. Sounds like 4 parts: guitar, dobro, banjo, and washtub bass (could use a little low end on that one) is there a tab for this thing? I want to make it my next project ? Really enjoyed that.

This piece was indeed a fine innings, but I don't share your opinion of Tommy Emmanuel. Apart from being a terrific guitarist, he's a born entertainer. You may not like his facial contortions (as you call it), but some certainly do. Best Finn

Yes! Tommy E. is a brilliant guitarist! No argument. But I prefer the music without the histrionics. Thats what I buy my tickets for.......................there were some people that complained about Julian Breams grimacing.....I wasnt that bad.
