Can anyone explain what he meant about the follower’s shoulder around 2:45? It sound important, but I have not found any other instructor talking about this.

Was anyone there who could explain what he's saying about circular vs. linear in the beginning? I see "Roots of Swing" but I expected Harlem when he started talking about the Two-Step and the Collegiate, and this looks more California!
