I think a good analogy would be something akin to counting cards, but simpler, know what your buying and try to see if the price is good. If it's good buy and hold, if you see them slipping you can sell early or later but once you sell you should find something to replace it sooner rather than later but don't forget know what your buying. Never forget that.

"small investors can't do it" is bs. I had Tesla at 55 a share and Peloton at 17 something a share. Those two built my portfolio. I owned other stocks but those were the 2 big winners. @@bobflemmet7454 That's a perfect example of something where if i ask you why it is going up or down you can only say "well it's going up because people are buying it and it goes down when people are selling it" and there is no other reason. I mean it has a commodity component to it, i looked up how much electricity it costs to mine 1 bitcoin and it varies between $5000 and $80,000 in raw electricity depending on country. In a place where electricity is expensive there is no real value in mining one. I really do hope bitcoin succeeds at something because if not they are burning through the energy of a whole country just to mine those things.
