This guy is brilliant. His understanding of the flooding issue from the perspective of data and science is quite commendable, despite not being a technical expert. He was able to review the 20 year annual rainfall record and observed there was no significant spike, and if the minister has said the issue was not largely the dam in Cameroun, then the issue has to be the massive silting of the two major rivers and their tributaries, which in turn grossly impairs their capacity to handle the surge in water volumes, leading to flooding of the flood plains and the banks. If we are deliberate with desilting and dredging these rivers regularly, we will not have an issue with flooding. I give it to Peter Obi.
