Octavius's device had to be more energy dense, maybe even by orders of magnitude. It didn't just fuse a bit of hydrogen together, the machine was intended to cage an entire micro-star that was self-sustaining once activated. I would bet money that Tony would take one look at Otto's machine and call him a crazy son of a bitch for essentially trying to put a star in a box.

Brilliant use of the environment, with the fight starting on the bridge, moving onto the road sign and ending underneath the bridge. I guess. The issue with Doc Ock is that he really shouldn't be able to take a punch. Spiderman is super strong and fast compared to normal humans. Doc Ock has the arms that are strong and fast so they can keep up, but the rest of his body is normal middle-aged academic. If Spiderman punches him in the face or hits him with anything that isn't intercepted by the tentacles, he should get real hurt, real quick. There is a segment in Spiderman 2 where Doc takes one on the jaw from Tobey while they're fighting up the side of a building or something. Ock should have been out like a light or have the tentacles taking over or something. But it was like nothing happened. Knocked me right out of the movie. Ditto a character like Kingpin who is at the top of baseline human strength, but not super strong. Kingpin needs to beat Peter with strategy or henchmen or something, because he can't go toe-to-toe in a one-on-one. There's at least one scene in the comics where Peter kicks the ever-loving crap out the Kingpin because the Kingpin crossed the line with Peter's family.

I love how this Peter doesn't kill his foes, second chances and all that. One of the reasons in the comics his enemies keep on coming back is because he believes they can redeem themselves so he doesn't use his full strength on them, when Doc Ock took over Peter's body he accidentally broke Scorpions jaw ( who is apparently supposed to be physically stronger than Spidey ) and stated that Peter could have killed him with his strength many times over when he had the chance to.

@@Y0G0FU You can see some of that in the MCU. When Cap and Bucky fought, they were fairly even physically, Bucky's robot arm might have had a strength advantage. When Bucky fights Spidey, Peter catches that robot arm and is unthreatened by it to the point he was more in awe of the tech than any danger it posed. He just casually overpowered Bucky like some dad wrestling with his 7 year old. We only see Spider go HAM in the movies like twice. I love how he was the very first villain shown off. Technically goblin was by the bomb in the trailer but when the first trailer dropped, I thought this was another Doc Ock in Tom Holland’s universe played by the same actor from the 2004 movie and that he’d be the main villain of the movie. But then the second trailer dropped and Strange explained how the spell brings in people from other universes so that’s when I got hyped. And then when watching the actual movie, when I heard Doc say “the power of the sun in the palm of my hand,” “you’re not Peter Parker” and telling strange that he knew a Peter Parker as spider man but it wasn’t Tom, that’s when I knew they brought back the same character from 2004 & that got me excited to see Tobey’s return. good stuff, this movie is a love letter to all spider man fans, absolute masterpiece

It actually takes training to keep a level head in a life or death situation, that is why people get trampled to death in building fires rather than exiting the building quickly but in a orderly fashion. I have had to go through this myself for various trainings as various event organizers since when something major happens those in charge need to be in charge. It is also why at accidents most eye witness accounts are inaccurate since the adrenaline messes with the memory in the heat of the moment.

I mean, sure, the fight scenes were intense, but they didn't make much sense, especially when Peter was becoming angrier as he kept on fighting, which means he was holding back less and less.

@@turbotrup96 I agree. What makes Spider-Man villains scary is that their tech is able to keep up with Spider-Man's powers. It was nice to see them respect that in this film. No disrespect to Spider-Man 2 ofc

I like how people argue that the way Doc Ock lost was lame when he was going toe to toe with iron spider beforehand and tossing cars like they were toys before almost straight up stabbing Peter. Peter does hold back when fighting people, but I'd like to point out throughout the whole fight Peter only got a chance to punch Doc once 1:56 and he was too slow. The rest of the time he is blocking and dodging for his life. Otto is from barely out of the 90s New York, wireless was a pretty new thing even if the super hero world has AI and super strength serums, so him not considering bluetooth exists is both smart and really funny. Plus he actually didn't know he was in a more advanced universe, so he/and the arms AI heavily influencing his actions, probably assumed he was familiar with the nano tech.

I think we can assume the world of Spider-man 2 is a bit more advanced giving how he's rocking AI arms that while bleeding tech, are still far more advanced then anything we got now. Their 90's was probably our 2010s.

They had nano tech in Ramiverse. It’s mentioned a few times and I believe even the arms are mentioned to have nano tech. Prolly why they bonded so easily with peters tech. I’d still argue that AI that can control a human is more advanced then the AI in peters suit. Tony needed the mind stone to get sentient AI.

@@strenuousspider9525 they more like influence Ock, he isn’t fully controlled as in the final scene in S2 he regains control. It’s based on his own will. He never understood his own importance and was ridden with guilt over killing his wife on accident. So the AI could easily influence him because he had no willpower to fight back. Until Peter told him his true value. In this universe they fix the regulator though.

I just noticed something that most people missed. In previous movies, we saw Peter (Tom's) as a joyful entertaining and funny spiderman who fought several villains like vulture and mysterio just like a normal movie. But in No Way Home, Tom's Peter lives the same feelings and events with other Spider men (Tobey and Andrew). This was not usual because this is not the way Tom's Peter lives. In this video, we saw his struggle on saving a little kid, the academy woman and other people in bridge avoiding their death just like Andrew in TASM 1 against Lizzard again Andrew was struggling saving people in the bridge. Green Goblin made Tom have heavy traumas, trying to kill his loved one and making Tom getting power out of his hands because of his anger as the same way Tobey's fearful and traumatic experience about the goblin. For Electro (Andrew's villain), We saw Tom trying to convince him that he is not a villain and everything can be fixed. Ending with Electro not listening to him and ruining everything just like in Andrew's TASM 2 when Andrew tried to avoid Electro from doing dangerous things and doing whatever he can to stop him verbally trying to convince him in 2014 TASM 2 movie. For goblin (Andrew's) we saw in TASM 2 that Andrew's goblin aimed for his girlfriend Gwen Stacy and caused her death by making her fall from the high clock tower. Making Andrew having his biggest trauma. İn No way Home, again Goblin made Tom's M.J fall off from the construction area just like the same way with Gwen, both girlfriends were falling and looking at their Peters with hope. Andrew couldn't save Gwen. Same goes for Tom. Goblin caught Tom from saving M.J and leading to M.J s death. But Andrew directly went to save M.J by jumping same scene with TASM 2. Which was not supposed to happen. A Spiderman from another universe (Andrew) saving Tom's M.J. And this broke Tom's canon event as we saw how consequences there would be after breaking a canon event. To sum up, Tom wasn't supposed to live these things and after all these feelings of previous spider man"s", We saw how Tom's Peter lost himself.

I know most watchers already knew about girlfriend falling things were linked with prevoius movies. Im not only talking about that. Imalso talking about other traumas, feelings and events are also the same with prevoius movie.

if you’re gonna say peter 3 wasn’t supposed to save peter 1s girlfriend, then you have to say green goblin wasnt supposed to cause MJ to fall.

@@Elijah.Lovejoy Every of those serious events were not meant to happen. MJ's fall was not a canon event that's right. No Way Home is a scenario that was not suppsoed to happen and it all became because of fault of Dr Strange and Peter 1. Miguel O'Hara from Across the Spiderverse also mentions them by saying ''Don't even get me started on Dr. Strange and that little nerd back in Earth-xxxx''. Which means he is trying to fix all of these.
