This, this right here is what made me fall in love the Felicia Hardy/black cat’s character. To me this differentiated her from Catwoman. At her core Catwoman, Selena Kyle is a good person that loves and cares about Bruce Wayne. Felicia, black cat, she’s the girl your mother warns you about. She’s the girl Drake sings about. Black cat is a heart breaker, she is shallow, who doesn’t understand the responsibility that comes with power. I don’t think she’s a at her core a bad person she’s just too flawed to ever be with peter. Thats why i love her character. She feels real. I feel like we all know a Felicia. A larger than life girl who’s played with our hearts. Someone we had to change ourselves for or hide a part of ourselves for. I hope she is featured in the next Spiderman movies, I think she would be the perfect foil for both MJ and peter. Black Cat and Peter's relationship is pretty fascinating to me. Because yes this may make it look like Black Cat and Peter are a complete 100% no-go and it will never work out, but it's a little more complex than that, especially after Felicia starts to change and even warms up to the idea of _Peter Parker_ and cares for him and not just Spider-Man, a lot of times she legitimately cares for him and tries to be better and use her powers for good for him. Due to the nature of comic books they always have to return back to a status quo, so their relationship is never allowed to truly develop to the end, but I would _love_ to see an entire story in its own contained reality where Peter and Felicia manage to make their relationship work out, because it _can_ work, Felicia _does_ change and she does start to care about Peter, but it's more complex than Gwen or MJ and that's what I love about it.

This is exactly why I love Licia, she is such an imperfect woman. She has faults and have made errors but she learned from them, because in the end, she loved this person, this Peter Parker who happens to be Spiderman and wanted to do good to him, even if she knows she may have lose her chance with him. She is way too complex to only be one of the "Spiderman's love interests", as much as Gwen and MJ are cool, they can't grow apart from that role, Felicia is her own character with her own development and just happens to be on of Spiderman's love interest.

And people say Black Cat is better for Peter/Spider-Man than Mary Jane. Granted she is cooler and I do admit I love how she is a foil to his nature, but MJ loves and respects both identities. Black Cat just loves one of the identities and can’t love or accept the other. Regardless of the mask and the snark, Spider-Man will always be Peter Parker inside. The fact Black Cat was disappointed in his home was strike 1, her screaming for Peter to put his mask back on to go back to her mystery man after he opened his heart and soul to her was strike 2, her admitting this to his face was strike 3. At the end of the day, Felicia Hardy would never accept the Peter Parker aspect of Spider-Man’s life. It was the thrill of the mystery, the thrill of their fights/interactions that made her love him. Not who he really is or why he does what he does.

Unironically, I believe this specific comic panel should be read by EVERY man who is chasing the wrong girl. A lot of guys nowadays spend so much time, energy and HARD EARNED money to get nude pictures of women who capitalize off their desperation to feel validated by an attractive person. Or worse, change themselves entirely to keep a person happy just so they can stay in a relationship that is ultimately one sided. Peter loved Black Cat, sure, but it was borne out of an immature chase of validation. That the Spider-Man side of him was infinitely more fun. He could just abandon all the responsibilities of Peter Parker, be a hero, date a hot girl and live his dreams. But that’s not who he is. He doesn’t just hold onto his responsibility as Spider-Man, but as Peter Parker. A beloved nephew, friend, hard worker and eventually husband of MJ. A *good man.* So I say this to any young boy, or men my age, that is currently pursuing a woman. Please remember not to lose yourself in pursuit of someone. It is the single most vulnerable thing a person can do, and it will be very difficult to come back from it when it doesn’t work out. Be yourself, stay a good man with your morals and aspirations. And I promise you, the right person will come along.

The voice acting is surprisingly good! The camera passes and the edits are excellent. I had this exact issue of Spider-Man when I was a kid in the 80s'! This is soo cool to see with voice acting, and music. Well done. Peter being Spider-Man always messed up his realationships with women; Gwen was killed by Green Goblin, Mary jane broke up with him before this era. So with Peter being Spider-Man more after dropping out of graduate school, and spending time with Felicia as the Black Cat would have been so great for him. But when he took her to his apartment, and and took off his mask and reveled his true identity, she freaked. She loved him as Spider-Man only! What a totally weird twist!

@@djdarore2514 Now that one is complicated Peter Parker and Cindy Moon got bit by the same super spider, at first Cindy was pissed off at Peter for releasing her from a bunker that left her undetectable to Morlun, but sometime after they was drawn to each other because the two produce the pheromones that forcibly connected them in many ways, I think Silk cared for Peter even drawn to him because of their shared connection but it's hard to say that they love each other because of their biologically enhanced situation, I heard in another universe they fell for each other and had kids and Mary Jane disappeared to another country permanently as some kind of journalist but that's all I remember, I don't even remember how that ends.

People normally talk about how felicia was simply disgusted with peters true life, but as we see here, the real issue was that pete wasnt sure which side of his was true. Peter Parker is Spider-Man. The quips, the tech, the responsability. There is no Spider-Man without Peter Parker. I suppose what could be considered toxic is her rejection of the unmasked Spider-Man, the one without the mystery and the confidence. Her rejection could be interpreted as her refusal to be with Peter when he's not at his highest, when he is vulnerable. It might be reading too much into it though. At the end of the day, Spider-Man is the true Peter Parker. The expression of his goodness, of his selflessness. Like Peter said, his past relationship's failed because of Spider-Man, because those women loved Peter, or rather, the front that Peter put on, so maybe he needs someone who loves his true, noble self. Considering who Felicia is and what she does, it's not surprising that she felt repulsed by Peter's humbleness, that she could not immediately bridge the gap between this heroic, intelligent, skilled guy and the squalor he lives in. It's like putting your hand over a candle and you feel cold. Honestly there's room to argue. You may not believe that Spider-Man is Peter's true form, in which case this rejection should prove fatal, but I for one think that Peter and Felicia are possible. While Felicia may lack in a sense of duty and responsability, Peter more than makes up for it, arguably to an unhealthy degree. I think they could stand to learn from each other.

First, 1:26-1:43 was a missed opportunity to dub the captions in your best Stan Lee impersonation. I'm certainly not alone on this, but I've always likened Spidey and Cat's relationship to that of Batman and Catwoman. Both couples are at their best when they're forbidden, unable to fully share their lives with each other.
