Recently played his music again and I had forgotten just how good he was. I am in tears listening to 'still 😮 magic'. Lovely tuneful music. Vanessa in Bucks.

Peter Skellern's singing and piano playing seem effortless, a man of real talent, lovely smile also. Sad he has passed away. He had such uplifting music that is hard to find in 2024.

Not one of Peter's songs I don't like - love them all. This one may be my favourite and especially as it is live to see his amazing skill on the Piano, facial expressions and hear his incomparable voice.

Peter Skellern was a real musician. A rarity - he had a real harmonic sense. And a bloody good pianist.

Thank you for posting Kate, I first came upon your fathers music in the late eighties, his music has been a joy to me ever since, this duet perfectly sums up Peter for me, a man of humility and joy. Rest easy fair fellow, you are greatly missed. Tom, Ireland

Strangely he does have Tom Waitsish feel to him. Completely different vocals yet somehow the same!

Not quite, but I really like Alan Price (after his stint with The Animals). He also didn't follow the music fashion so to speak, also played piano or organ and a good singing voice. But Peter Skellern is just outstanding, difficult to beat.

He always sounds half asleep to me, but I have a few of his albums and like to listen to him.
