Peter held true to himself and what was right. When you find difficulty in life...and you are true to yourself...you are probably on the right path. Peter wouldn't bend to anyone...he is An Absolute HERO in my eyes

One of his best interviews in my opinion, he speaks so freely about the Wailers and the split. You can tell he was so eager to release his own music, first album and speak his truth. I love listening to his interviews, his so articulate, inspiring and passionate in what he believes in. Didn't suffer fools gladly and spoke the unspeakable.

+Rob Green I agree and you hit the nail on its head bang on. When I first heard 'stir it up', for example, the first thing that grabbed my attention was the back up vocals, the harmonies..... it was like out of this world. On the two albums, they really did a splendid job with the harmonies. I was about 12 years at the time but was well into conscious music, being around quality music and quality equipment so I was able to hear every chord and every word.

It was not true that Peter wrote most of the wailers hit songs. Bunny Wailer too said that he was the main man behind harmonizing the wailers songs so who is to believe
@israelkanu82992 жыл бұрын
In addition to this, Bob started recording before he met with Peter. For me after listening to many sources, I came to the conclusion that among the three of them. It was Peter who never recognized Bob talent. He gave his followers the impression that it was he who made Bob who he is. That's completely false
@israelkanu82992 жыл бұрын
For me all three of them are talented in their own right
@israelkanu82992 жыл бұрын
Where was Peter when Bob wrote Judge Not. One more thing it was Bunny who wrote Funeral but Peter was the first to record it. I want everyone to take note of their writing styles. Bob and Peter writing styles are completely different. There is no way Peter can conceived me that it was him that wrote most of the wailers songs that's completely false. Peter Tosh took all the credit for himself but he never complement other musicians who also contributed immensely in the development of his own music. I'm asking people to carefully examine Peter's actions. What I noticed from him any phrase that Bob used Peter will used it. Peter always critised Bob's works while Bunny Wailers complement Bob's works.

It's funny how white folk love Bob Marley, but as soon as you mention Peter Tosh, they like "oh hell no". But, they shared the same ideas...lol
@rasheedjah28078 жыл бұрын
the white man has tried to misinterpret Bob music to fit into their society. So the tried to water down his music by only feeding the would songs that could be interpreted as a message of peace and love to all. However, Bob did stand firm in his beliefs and fights for the Blackman Redemption. his album "Survival" is a great example of that. He was also very vocal in interviews about how he felt about being a black man and his oppressors the white man. I feel that He never tried to hide how he felt but Instead feed his messages to black man in a clever way.
