@@aquaponieee Yes, I've noticed. But still, it's Tamagotchi. The demographic is young children, some of which might not even be able to read very well yet. That's why the toys and games heavily rely on imagery and symbols as opposed to words, which can also help non-Japanese speakers piece together what's going on. I dunno, it just seems a little silly to me is all. :) (Although I will admit that this video game might be a bit harder to understand, what with the actual dialogue included as opposed to most other installments.)

I remember when Tamagotchi was super popular in the early 200s, even I wanted one. I don't think they're used much around the world now, but I wonder if it's still popular in Japan, after all, this kind of stuff is their thing

Oh my god, I can't believe you had the patience to even *attempt* to suffer through Tamagotchi Park. As if it wasn't bad enough finding out that you'd need to raise Oyajitchi to have a chance to unlock the P2 eggs, and then the same with Sekitoritchi for the Sega eggs, I gave up on touching it after I couldn't figure out how to get save files working on Mednafen. That, and the nightmare that is Hoshi de Hakken took out my last nerve long before then. God, it must be coming up on four years since I last laid a finger on that thing. Part of me is tempted to torture myself again for the sake of filling the wiki up with more info - especially regarding what the deal is with Dekaunitchi and Umiushitchi, all I know about them is that acquiring them involves Sonictchi somehow - but I don't have the guts (or time) to go through with it.

I've only barely played the 5th-Gen/JP Tamagotchi game trio, and honestly, as much as I tend to agree that Hoshi/Stars(PS1) is a nightmare to 100% complete in (over 50+ Tamagotchi to collect AND breed(the actual number is 94) to even 100% and watch the ending scene? Geez!!), I have a feeling that 64/World(N64) and Park(Saturn) might be worse than Hoshi/Stars(PS1) depending on the situation... I haven't even gotten to the P2 eggs in Park just yet, and while "beating"(which sometimes actually consists of even surviving in 2nd place or lower instead of coming at 1st place by filling the evolution bar) the game in 64/World is simple enough, the fact that you need to replay the game over and over just to even get all of the Tamagotchi can be tiring... especially since 64/World is the only Tamagotchi game where you can actually lose if your Tamagotchi dies, and should that happen to every human-controlled Tamagotchi, you actually get a Game Over, get kicked out of the game and LOSE all unsaved progress(which happens after every successful board). Speaking of best/worst games so far, I prefer Hoshi/Stars when it comes to Tamagotchi games. Outside of the nightmarish 100%, I really like the exploration and variety of Tamagotchi you can catch, alongside the music in this game.

The Tamagotchi games on consoles aren't as good as the real virtual pet keychains, although the Digimon v-pet games are at least an upgrade over the Tamagotchi games. Tamagotchi and Digimon were both made by Bandai btw, that's why I compared them both.
