Suuuper late to your channel. But i really appreciate the technical explanations (even though i forgot to read music as soon as i passed my last high school music subject). Mana is a bit of a fan favorite. Especially as they rarely perform it when they became more well known and a lot more polished (josh, ken and justin improved a lot); i would have liked to hear them perform this song as they currently are.

I definitely recommend checking out SHINee!! They are a kpop group consisting of 5 members, although one passed away in 2017, and are heavily considered one of THE best groups vocally in kpop. Onew, the leader, also performed "Nessun Dorma" on stage! Jonghyun performed his own cover of a popular Spanish song called "Y, ¿Si Fuera Ella?" that he translated into Korean and titled it "Hyeya". I also recommend a live performance of their song called "Like a Fire"!

The red hair is Ken, he has the deepest voice in this group, has a bit husky/raspy kind of tone, he usually gets rap part or low register singing part, but sometimes he gets more mid to high range too especially in their ballad songs, he's also great at falsetto and riff&runs, he usually take the bass base when the group makes vocal harmony, sometimes take the falsetto in the harmony too The white highlight hair who almost always has Long hair is Pablo, he's the one who wrote and compose all their songs. He's the main rapper and lead vocal who usually takes mid to high range, he has a very unique vocal character, my personal thought he's really the best when it comes to singing emotional ballad like 'ilaw' (one of their ballad, maybe you can check this one out too), his voice also somehow adding a bit slow-rock vibes to their emotional ballad song The one who sat in the center and takes all the highest notes is Stell, he's more of the main vocal in the group who usually takes the most difficult part and highest notes in singing parts and adlibs, he's also the main choreographer of their dance anyway Then the black hair guy who only rap here is Josh, he's more like the lead rapper, mostly only take rap parts in their songs, but also sing especially in their ballad, his singing is not his best, but he's improving through the years too, he's better now The guy beside the red hair is Justin, he's the youngest member (he's 25), he's more like a lead vocal or sometimes sub vocal in the group, he rarely rap, but he has a couple of rap parts in a few of their songs, he has a very clean tone

I just saw this reaction video and it did not disappoint. SB19 recently released a new EP called "PAGTATAG!" (fortification/establishment) and they have a song called "ILAW" (light). It would be really interesting to hear your take on this because I think that song is by far, SB19's most vocally complex song (not sure if that's a thing LOL). There's no live performance of the song yet because it's quite new but they do have a LYRIC VIDEO with English subtitles on their channel.

yep, i agree with your analysis on ken's voice.. i also think he is more of a baritone than a bassist. but he is encouraged to do base parts because of his natural reverberating voice, which can be really good to hear when doing base.. edit: you're also right about the long break down, they sing while they dance. you may want to react to their live concert performances wherein they sing and dance at the same time, just to see their breath and vocal controls.

25:01 For the center back singer (name is Stell), he usually sings pretty high...as in pretty HIGH. He has tons of covers online, mostly high difficult songs. He once sang "ALL BY MYSELF" in their concert (you might wanna check that out) and just recently, he was one of the few singers who sang for Disney+ PH's launching programme (search "A Night of Wonder", he sings along with 2 other wonderful talented ladies). He also covered Jamie Miller's "Here's Your Perfect". He just loves singing those songs and it seems like it's more convenient for him in that range than otherwise, whether it's through natural belting or through techniques. Philippines loves belting a lot when singing (culture thing), so you'll find plenty of males who are trained if not naturally-developed to belt high notes. Even among Philippine male singers, this guy definitely has one of the highest voices, if not arguably THE highest (I can't remember any singers in the current era singing higher than him at the same age range, but maybe that's just me). The guy in the back right (Pablo, their leader) can also sing pretty high, but he avoids it like the plague and shoves it to Stell when he can. 🤣
