Pro tip. Keep the caging bolts in you sleeper or tool box. Don't have to worry about them disappearing going down the road
@ky.gambler52813 жыл бұрын
Suggestion, single round headlights on a dropped mount, led also. Lots of wasted parts on the rear axles if you're thinking about replacing them. Jack up one side, both axles same time, makes things go a lot easier, you're not chasing tools around the truck...take out the caging bolts and put in sleeper box, more handy.

Silent Mike is the only other person that I’ve came across that puts brake shoes on the same way I do. I don’t put the rollers in until the big spring is connected. I’ve been working on trucks for 17yrs and I’ve seen many of ways guys put shoes on. The way I do it is the same as Mikes, by far the easiest way and no bullshit special tools needed.

For the special toy for the springs just take a pry bar and cut a slit in the middle works the same.and if you take a pry bar to the two small springs for the breaks and just hit the inside of the spring takes them off. For break adjustment 1/4 of a turn for the drive drives and 1/2 a turn on the steer brakes

15/16 combo wrench and make a slice in the box end across from the handle( a little wider than the center bar of the spring) and it will make your life a little easier. Make sure it’s a harbor freight wrench. It’s a lot easier cutting a 15$ wrench than cutting a $60+ wrench. Just a little knowledge
