I don’t quite know how to describe it but I haven’t seen Pete this clear and spirited and in the moment as maybe in some of the early Libertines interviews. It feels a bit like he got rid of a lot of the darkness that he used to carry with him. It’s beautiful to see him this healthy, physically and mentally ... his charm and wit really come out, but also his genuineness and warmth

I despised the people who interviewed him in the mid 00’s - all they focused on was if he was still taking drugs and what prison was like. You could always see how uncomfortable he was discussing this and all he wanted to do was talk about his music. And let’s not forget the paparazzi vultures that followed him around, hoping he would die so they could get their fucking ‘another tragic rock star story’. Peter’s biggest fuck you to them was surviving. So glad that those of us that have always appreciated his talent, can now fully appreciate him without all the other bullshit. I met him after a Libs gig a couple years back. I didn’t want to impose, so just chatted to him for 5 mins or so, but he was the most lovely, down to earth lad I’ve met, softly spoken, exactly as he’s like here. I’m glad he’s still with us, clearly with a new lease of life working with Jack and Trampoline. Glad he’s in a happy place

The rock n roll look is about putting the effort in to make it look effortless not actually being effortless.
