Man I neglected my passion soo much. I focused just on practical aspects of my life because of believes that were forced on me. About the artists and art. About the uselessness of it. "Because what's the point? That won't bring you money, right? You should get a real job." I stopped drawing for about 6 years. And here I am, looking at your drawings. I feel so empty without it. I got a feeling, like because of people like you, so many people get inspired to create something by themselves. And I am one of them. I'm grabbing my old sketch book right away. Thank you for that. Edit: I recently started learning graphic design, and I'm drawing more frequently again, so thank you for all the support

True this life is too short to not do what makes you happy as long as you have that choice and option. Yea some passions are out of reach or may take longer due to financial reasons but at least try it see what u can do. Time goes by way to fast and one of the greatest quotes I've ever heard was "that no amount of money in the world can buy you a second of time" so it's not about chasing the money but chasing the passion.

Your work is far more accomplished now. You stated that you want your drawings to have more depth (black areas). I genuinely believe that you have reached that goal especially in the stippling drawings. You may not have significant "black" areas, but I am truly amazed at how much depth you create with the the tenaciously loyal little dots that you lay down on the page. The curves, grooves, and valleys are strongly pronounced to the eye. I can almost feel your satisfied fatigue when I look at each dot... and I like it. Good job, Peter! Good job.

When I was in highschool my art teacher gave us an assignment to pick a piece of music and draw to it , I chose Atom Heart Mother, I took a jiffy marker and doodled on this big 3ft x 3ft piece of paper for an hour and came up with something similar to peter's style, just black and white,(not as good as Peter) and showed the Teacher, she was like "good, now colour it", so for the next month I got to listen to Pink Floyd in class while I worked on my masterpiece coloring my DoodleArt with pastels, it took so long I expanded it to their whole catalog which I had at the time on tape or vinyl and some bootlegs. I was just explaining that to my daughter and in a way inspired myself to quit being lazy and work on my sketchbooks and paintings more. Ive got alot done while binging your work in the background. I have certain techniques i use that are similar, its cool seeing other people make stuff and their finished projects! Go create something that represents you! All of you, Awesome beautiful people. Art is the reason we go to war and fight. Without it, were just animals surviving.

Hey Peter, I was curious to know if you see these drawing in your mind first, or have an idea of what you want before you start and replicate it onto the page or if you just go with the flow and whatever happens happens. I have trouble thinking of things before I draw them, it just seems too cloudy to actually see something I can bring into real life so whenever I draw it's just random patterns that eventually look okay but it's never clean and I feel like I could do more with the level of detail. Any tips? Thank you- P.S. anyone can reply

Same here, but I usually just go with my impulses. If something randomly comes at my brain full force I go for it! I never take my art too seriously, takes the fun out of it and makes you frustrated. So, just go with your clearest instinct, and if that's cloudy, just wait for something else. Some drawings for me take weeks for pure inspiration.

@@CIDILIABRA yea, sometimes I'll start something and once it feels forced I'll leave it and add little things to it slowly. Its usually fun but I'd like to be able to be sure of what I want to make or at least have an idea.

Probably the easiest sub of 2024 for me, you are so freaking cool man. So talented, it’s inspiring for real. Thank you. The hatching is wild, love it. I can see some Neil Gaiman, Moebius, and some Katsuhiro Otomo in your style, BUT you’re still very uniquely your own. Also very eloquent with your writing and speaking, intelligent dude. I keep coming back to edit but I want to add that it’s refreshing to hear that you even go back a year later to finish some of the past pages, and add more. I don’t know why I had prohibited myself from doing this when I was younger like it was some rule I couldn’t break. Just heard you mention Moebius, lol wow. I’m surprised you haven’t been contacted by a big wig comic director or somebody, or join up with a very good writer and make a graphic novel. Why aren’t you freaking famous yet damnit. I’ll shut up.

I feel like such a baby when it comes to my translation of creativity. I know I shouldn’t compare but wow. Some of these drawings remind me of parts of my mindscape. I think I get so caught up in trying to make “things” that I lose some of the authenticity that comes from that special place. I’ve been doing some exercises to get myself out of that but I’m still a long way away from being where I want to be. I appreciate where I am now though and I’m enjoying the learning process. This is so inspirational
