The day I reached 50 years of age, I climbed Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the United Kingdom/Ireland) and felt fantastic. I am now in my mid 50s and rearing to get back out to the trails and forget the aging process completely. ..... You are indeed a very young man Peter! Keep up the great work.

Sweet video Peter! I do not want to disappoint you, but at 59 I cannot believe how fast the years seem to be going bye! I swear I was only 45 just a week ago! It is very wacky the way time seems to speed up as you age. I have also had some health problems and that can cause some real time distortion! I completely lost the year 2016 in it entirety! Between the drugs and time spent in the hospitals I got very mixed up! I believe I am on a good track now, but Time fly's no matter if your having fun it or NOT! Peter, enjoy your life and take each and every day as it comes you will not see it again! Be well my young friend.

I saw a VSauce video several years ago explaining that time seems to speed up as we get older because each year takes up a smaller proportion of our lifetime. For example, when you’re two, one year is half of your life, but when you are 30, a year is 1/30 of your life. That makes a year seem shorter and shorter as we age
@peter_draws3 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah! I heard that before too, that’s pretty interesting
@linden51653 жыл бұрын
Also as you get older the years aren't so different from each other. When you're young you grow up so much year to year and transition through levels of school, higher education, starting jobs. When you're older it's often more stable and ongoing, the time flies by.

I once had my 96 year old Great Aunt tell that you can not even grasp the concept in your 30's how fast time will go by in your 90's. . . I think time flying by is directly related to things you are looking forward to. In your youth everything is ahead of you and Christmas and the end of the school year etc etc just seem to take forever to come. There comes a point where you just don't have those anymore and your life is behind you. Life becomes a free fall. . . Weeeeee. . . . .

On a side note, I found a pen I dropped years ago. Just a ballpoint, but I love them. Anyway, it worked pretty well! Nature’s spike ball if you will, is from the the gum tree( or gum ball tree). Soooo, that’s true! The name comes from the edible sap that’s was used as gum for the aboriginals. What you have there is a seed pod. If you got it when it was green, you’d see it dry out and release tons of pellet like seeds. Very common where I live too.

I’m creeping up on 40. 37 in a few days. It feels like I’ve been in my 30s for a long time. My 20s feel like they flew by. Maybe because I spent most of them on drugs and alcohol. I felt like I’d be much “further along” by the time I got to 40, but seems like I’m not the only one in my generation that feels like that. And I’m not even sure what “further along” even means anymore. Wife, kids, and a house, I guess, but uhh... I don’t even know if that’s something I want, honestly.

I too spent most of my 20s in similar activities (drugs alcohol etc) I keep telling myself somehow this experience was worth it and will be of use in the future. Just want to say that I really appreciate how you brought out a bunch of random objects. I was trying to draw in your... Well, I guess it's sort of your style? Kind of? The line-y doodles that you love to make? I'd call it its own art form, but anyway, I was getting frustrated with how... stiff and unnatural all of my lines looked, because yours always look so fluid and beautiful, even the straight ones. And then you bring out the pieces of wood and I'm like "Ah, I get it." And I start mimicking those sort of lines. And my hands naturally shake, and as I'm trying to press down as lightly as possible, the shakes come out, but instead of ruining the art like they normally do, they make the lines look natural. Usually I fight my tremors, but your video reminded me that I can use them to my advantage, so I just wanted to thank you for that.
