​@coreylaughlin6057 Yeah Club Champion (FKA TXG) are great for data driven reviews, I love their reviews. However, I do enjoy the personal touch and emotion Pete brings to reviews. Obviously feel and looks are subjective. We all have biases in life, you might prefer the looks and feel of a Srixon driver over a TM driver so if the two clubs were around the same in performance, you would be biased towards the Srixon, and there's nothing wrong with having a personal preference.

Thanks Pete! I think it’s been long enough that we may need look at all drivers in the last 5 years and see which would be ideal on a budget. Then we could look at not only performance vs new, but also durability.

Just buy Tour Edge, affordable and lifetime warranty. I snapped a shaft on the driving range, totally my fault, emailed them, they asked for pictures, sent them pictures, they recommended a stiffer shaft and I said okay. They sent it and I had it within a week.

I am envious of you Pete been able to test a drivers over several sessions. This is something I think us regular golfers don't get the luxury. Normally you get a 30-60min session then you have to make a decision. Would be nice if pro's and shops would let you have a demo to trial in real life situations not just in a simulator.

From another review of the Ping 430 Max 10k the reviewer said that Ping have managed to not only make it forgiving it has also managed to keep the spin down. Being forgiving usually means high spin which leads to less distance. Ping has managed to lower the spin and to keep up with the QI10 and Callaway Max for distance. Quite a feat I reckon, deserves to be in your bag.

got last years model after going to buy a Taylormade (also my usual brand) and loved it. Will probably upgrade to the 10k this year. Not a huge fan of the look at address, but the club has made a crazy improvement in my drives in one year. Consistency and distance. can't wait to try the 10k!

Being a scratch golfer in 2019 due to putting & chipping & my awesome 2 wood original 1 TaylorMade mini driver that will never leave my bag for its low sping accuracy versatility of the deck . I have always struggled with driver when used . But i have always wanted a driver with total forgiveness more than anything & accuracy a little bit more than my 2 wood would be incredible This Ping when i saw it in Drummond golf i absolutely loved it have not tried it yet . But loved the feed back on this pete I remember when jason day just recently put into his bag & boy did he put on a stripe show .

I just bought the ping 10k and I totally agree with Peter. I hit the dead center of this club face more often than any other driver. I don’t know why either because my swing tends to be loopy rubbish. The feel is superior and now I know why because the strikes are in the middle of the face. This ping driver has some strange magic to it and it’s worth the price.

My uncle,an engineer, works at Ping. They are actually serious on the engineering side, and more focused on improvements of the club than marketing...They won't push out a driver if it doesn't have a few yards improvement in distance, etc...@@peterfinchgolf

I would guess you’re finding the center more often with the Ping because of the heavier head weight. Could also be the shape, who knows? But I always loved the slightly heavier head weight Ping offers.

I just got the Ping G430 Max 10k and took it out on the course yesterday. I had my best day off the tee. I hit more fairways and had a couple just a foot or two just off the fairway. This helped my game as I had better 2nd shots. Also my average distance went up I was very happy with the way I played with this driver at 10.5 degree.

Any chance we could ever see a 2023 WITB VS 2024 WITB to demonstrate the gains or impact of the old gear VS new gear? Maybe even go with further year gaps as a nostalgia trip and to see how tech evolved? Thanks Peter, that's a very informativ review of the complete drive range! You are viewing on so many different aspects that at the end of the process really the best driver for you goes in the bag. But I'm more the guy who likes to hold the things simple - if you i have a to make a shot of then i also know that i struggle if i think on 20 different aspects by doing a swing. I also think that all models have nearly the same flexibility in the face because they are all tested in a robot and the speed is limited by rules. Do at the end i think the view on the driver standing behind the ball, the forgiveness by not center strikes and the spin rate are at the end the main important criteria for me. If I follow your review i would select maybe the qi10 ls, the ai smoke triple diamond or a Titleist driver - land i would be take at the end a Titleist or then TM model because i love decent classical looking sport parts. The Ping doesn't absolutely not suit my eyes, but that's a personal preference. With your review i got a fundament for selecting the theme right model at the end!! Thanks therefore.

Just asking because I know Ping often usually counterbalanced shafts due to the heavy head weight. Just wondering if that might have led to you finding the middle of the Ping more often.

13:17 We all agree that feel and sound are the same, hence your earplugs comment - The PING 10k was instantly disqualified when my buddy and I tested the new drivers due to the loud CLANG sound it made. PING states on their website that the 10k is their loudest driver to make a powerful impression - no thanks. Surprised to hear you say that you liked it! But like you said - subjective. The TM LS was gorgeous and muted sounding. But regardless of that variable, I think you're on the right track for your Quest. Now .....BLUEPRINT S!!!!!

Most people don't get fitted because they don't want to spend $800 on a new club. Or too embarrassed to get fitted and tell the guy "Thanks for taking an hour fitting me with this nice club. I'm going on Ebay and getting one. Cya.".
