I know you guys are probably in your Thirties, but It would be fun to see you play with second hand clubs from my era. The 1970's and 1980's. Persimmon woods, muscle back irons, Bullseye or 8802 putters. No gap wedges, hybrids. How about it fellas. Great fun watching this years match. Keep up the good work Peter. Pull for Justine Rose, your country man has a good chance. I'm pulling for Rickie. Take care

john donohoe I have an old acushnet bullseye. Still in the bag.
@johndonohoe37787 жыл бұрын
Titlelist bullseye was my first love. I left here for a Ray Cook mallet who jilted me. I rebounded with a Ping Anser, it was a good relationship. Then suddenly, in a fit of rage, I hurled my new love into a pond. I finally grew up then, learned my lesson and moved on to a new Oddessey who is white hot. That's the story of my putters. of course, I've had flings with Spaulding and Cammeron! 😍

Great series of videos again. Love how excited you get over old clubs lol. Next time I think you need to not select clubs that you've had in play before and maybe pick two sets each then put a number for each in a hat and draw it out so you get a random set or something similar.

I'd really like to see the "Beyond Reason" match. Those clubs that were classics in their day - but 20 years+ ago. The Tommy Armour 845s (I've only just retired an 845 7 wood!). The Ping Zing irons and Zing laminated (looked like plywood) woods and drivers. The Cleveland VAS irons. TaylorMade bubble shafts. The first Big Betha. The Ping Beryllium putters - the best you could buy in 1995. No extra wedges - everyone used the SW that came with the set.

Pete, you have got t find a solution for that push. You must either use it as your banker shot or find a shaft that will bring the club face back square. I suggest the Adilla Proto x stiff (blue) shaft with a low fex point. I want to see you using this in a full wood set. Adrian.

How about a 'budget starter set challenge'.... you could even include a handicap system based on how much money was saved in buying the set..... To keep it real I've even got some Top Flight XL and Dunlop DDH I have found that you could have to play with....

Hey Pete, just an idea. One setup for a course vlog could be a greens in reg comp, where you score a point for hitting a green in reg and if it like a par 5 and you hit it in two you get 2 points. If you miss, no points. Here's the catch: if you fail to get par or below on the hole, the points don't count. Thanks for your time, Justin P.S. feel free to make a few edits if you want

I think you guys should do a premium golf club challenge. One buy a set of PXG and the other get a set of Honma and play them for a year. I'm sure you would get tons of questions from fellow golfers once you show up with them at the course. Just an expensive idea.

Hi Peter. You have proven to us the Callaway Alpha Driver is not a driver for you. You could not hit a golf ball properly with it. Mizuno wedges looks great. You played some nice shots with them. The balance of your Yes putter made you pull a lot of putts on the green. But i still think your set is better. I am a bit bias on Mizuno irons and wedges.

More 2nd-hand challenges, please, but not before Open qualifying. It seems to me that exhorting yourself with a "C'mon" right before a shot is potentially going to spike your adrenaline, which is a bad thing for most golfers, IMO. Regardless, I would like to see a video on the mental side to help golfers play their best; perhaps, along the lines of Vision 54's approach ("think box/play box").
