You need a full time caddy that knows the game and will help you through quest for the open. As a caddy on the Sunshine Tour in South Africa the skill level of the golfers at that level is at such a high standard that it isn't much seperating them in that regard. The difference between those who win more often and those who don't is their mentality. A caddy helps calm you and helps you focus on what you need to visualise and accomplish. A caddy also helps you realise when to attack and when to consolidate and more often a caddy keeps your mind of the stress of compounding mistakes after a bad shot. Its like having a second golfing brain at your disposal. You have to play lots of golf with your caddy in between tournaments as well so you could fix your on course dynamics as you go and he gets a feel for esecially your putting speed which affects break on the greens and prefered approaches to different set pins. Thats how you get more professional Pete! Get the second golfing brain on the course with you!!!

Pete - everything is there. Ball striking - tick, long irons - tick, hybrids - tick, putting - semi tick (just needs some practice but markedly improved especially with that putter). Just need to channel that Padraig. Have to say, its hard not to drop your head when things aren't going your way. But the moment that clicks into place and you realise that when you've had a bad hole, the shot is gone and you think only about the next shot positively - I think you will be fantastic (you aren't far from it now - rooting for you!)

Fascinating listening to your honesty, understanding that regarding golf there need to be 2 versions of Peter Finch to be successful: 1 - The affable, self deprecating, loveable KZbin golfer, who has his mates on his channel and does some fun challenges. 2 - The PGA tour who is focusing on giving himself a good opportunity to play well by reflecting on previous mindset/performance. Then using the tools he has access to improve the plan he is going to use in the competition. Most of the other YT golfers are obviously good players, however they don't put themselves in real competitions and subsequently don't test themselves, arguably you are better player for doing this. I really love the fact you want to be better and that's inspirational. Thanks for sharing all this content Peter, keep working at being better.

Great video, Pete - love the good, bad and ugly of golf and you don't shy away from any of it like some others do. For what it's worth, the LAB is amazing and I game a df2.1 as well - but I have noticed that it's made me complacent in my putting. Over the past couple of rounds, I've actually putted slightly worse with my df2.1 than with my 2-ball. Although, I'm pulling and pushing putts a lot less and mostly 2-putting everything, I'm just not holing any birdie chances on Par 3s and 4s. After some work on the practice green, I've found that if I treat the putt the same as if I have my "torque-y" putter in my hand and need to be more cacluated/steady, I find I'm holing a lot more from all ranges, but particularly the 5-8 footers. Hope this can maybe help you as it has helped me?! Go well, mate and thanks for having us along on your journey! P.S. Come to Australia!

Wow, possibilities, possibilities! I watch in your videos your strategy to have a game plan and stick to it, and your efforts to strengthen a positive mental attitude - and I see, this is my struggle as well. Thank you, Pete, for bearing your soul for us - I see this gives me hope as well for getting better.

You have everything in the bag to qualify but even if you don't, you and the team are still producing quality content, which is the channel's objective at the end of the day. it's often about the journey, not the destination and I, like many others are thoroughly enjoying it.
