Nothing will ever beat Circle of life when you hear it and seen the scene for first time and for me even for the hundred times, as the song is spectacular and so powerfull. In general Lion King wins for me. But the absolute legend of Robin Williams as Genie is masterpiece which should never be forgotten, I madly love all of his Genie songs.

If you think about it, the two movies are very similar. In lion king, scar wants to be the ruler, and he tries to get rid of mufasa and simba to do so. He comes so close, but eventually simba comes back. In Aladdin, the same goes except with jafar. He tries to mind-control the sultan into thinking he’s good. He comes close, getting the genie to obey him, but Aladdin pulls through and defeats him. In both movies, the ‘villain’ want to rule, and comes so close, but the main ‘protagonist’ comes and stops them.
