I have a 2019 310gs and love it as my first bike getting back into riding. The reason the dash display is slow to light up is it’s just about due for a service. The black verticals line on the right upper display is telling you that. It delays regular display so you notice it. Once it’s had its oil change and been reset it will be instant when the key is turned on.

Nice adventure bike, thanks for the details. If the bike only has a thousand or so miles on it, a newer used bike can be a huge savings compared to brand new with all the dealership fees added on most times. Examining it and giving it a test ride are important too before buying.

The exact same bike I have. The accessories are in my want list. But they cost a lot to put them all. I only have half of them at present. Great bike for commuting and travel in week end. I haven't tried long drive. Overall comfortable and easy to maintain.
