Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. There is the evidence of massive increase in Debt and the printing of money and IOUs. 50 years = 100 times in just about everything. The next 50 years we’ll see another 100 times expansion. Your money in the bank will for sure not increase by 100 times in 50 years. The only thing I would disagree with Peter on is the "goods" that Americans consume and that we don't produce anything. I keep hearing economists say that the US doesn't produce anything; that everything we as Americans consume comes from abroad... That's true if you count only the "crap" we buy from Walmart or Harbour Freight, or any these retailers.... What about the food we eat, the houses we buy, the medical care we receive, the home owners insurance we buy, the fuel we consume that powers our homes, automobiles, and infrastructure? Who do you call when you need a plumbing repair ,electrical repair, or hvac repair done. An American person comes out; not a Chinese worker... Where did the lumber or all the materials 😅come from that is used in all these new homes and where did the labor come from to build them? Who gave you the financing to buy that house you live in? Yes, our government and the average American is fiscally irresponsible but but stop saying that that the United States doesn't produce anything !

CBDC or stable coins is an imitation of printed money. So people don't spend printed money but an imitation of it. That's what the governments are afraid of. People have taken a lot of advantage of the debt and never paid it off.

Peter is correct, however what marbles in the jar is Peter not seeing for this to con’t? 1. We have reserve currency status. Until the flag is pulled we can con’t. 2. We have nukes to protect the flag. 3. We have a technology lead bc of being able to print and innovate. Top 7 tech stocks. 4. Amount of people China/India. 2.5 billion saving and producing for 320m Americans. 5. Capitalism vs Communism of keeping order w the people.

Are you a fool or something? How will nuclear help you, other countries have it too, and it has nothing to do with the economy.

@tzc930910 ай бұрын
yeah but what use is a technology lead if you do not own enough means of production to produce that tech, and your currency is in the dirt so can barely afford the necessary raw materials/components without taxing people into the ground, or do you then just go and invade countries for resources, start WW3 when many many other countries have nukes, for the sake of keeping your dollar strong. Senseless argument what good is economic power with no economy or people left and a broken global state. You lose longer term too as other countries have raw materials, as well as there being no guarantee the US/Europe could even beat the combined forces of russia, china, iran etc in an all out war. The population difference is insane as well as the access to raw materials to produce things, and i doubt at this stage in time the tech difference is so large it couldnt be overcome by these nations. Senseless beyond belief truly a braindead argument.

The us $ is on its way out, US stealing Russias $300bn is an act of desperation form a bankrupt govt. In terms of innovation is not t the top in any way, in fact China leads by some way. US is not a capitalist country it’s a pseudo/socialist, you bail out your banks and industries every 5 minutes. Magnet thatchers famous statement. The problem with socialists is they run out of people money and then have to borrow. US borrowed $1trillion in last 3 months. You’re not a capitalist country as your crappy industries and businesses are never allowed to fail EVER.

What no one seems to understand is that finance capitalism, the economic system under which we all succumb to has shown its soft underbelly and the reality is that it is a broken system that has been grounded on the beach and is slowly dying before our very eyes. It is absurd to the point of hilarity that an economic system for The United States could find itself with 34 trillion dollars in debt. The sheer amount of this money in pay-back terms is laughable beyond belief. Yet; we go on debating how to win back our freedom while the rats infest our trenches and we slide into utter despair. The plane is going to ditch; we need a new economic system.

One thing is for certain, the dollar is going to continue to decrease in value over time, whether that causes a debt crisis or not it still impacts individual standards of living and savings. If we reach a point of runaway debt monetization to keep the "ship" afloat that's when its time to panic and exchange dollars like a hot potato for anything of value.
@SaboTaGGe198210 ай бұрын
Peters problem is that he can’t prove that the debt can’t continue. Japan have had pretty much zero rate for +10 years and twice the debt to GDP.
