I grew up on a farm in Eastern Washington and went to college in Pullman at Washington State University. Have taken many trips up to Steptoe Butte where you did the opening shot. No antennas though in my days (1968). Great scenery out there good memories. Thanks

Great video! Brings back so many memories. We farmed just 40 or 50 miles further north near Reardan, WA. Amazing to see them still tilling the ground and running with a crawler tractor. I'm told a lot of the farmers have gone to no till. You did get to do one thing we never seemed to get around to - you drove to the top of Steptoe Butte.

Good video. I heard you talk about 40 rock on previous videos and wondered what its numbers were. You guys are so fortunate in your travels to have such a connection to all things agriculture. Thanks for showing that in all your videos.

WOW, great video. It was interesting and enjoyable to see the footage from the Palouse Hills in Washington State. Glad you did a ride-along with the Combines, gave a great perspective of working that type of geography. The shot of the sky with the storms moving in was awesome (@8:00 mins). Not great for farming plans, but beautiful all the same. You would not be able to see expansive views of the sky like that in my area unless you go to high ground.

Thank you very good informative video . It looks the soil is highly fertile . We have vast areas of hills similar to those of your place but they are hills of sand in the sahara desert 😂very hot in summer terribly cold in wenter .You would cross hundreds of kelometeres to find a small oasis with water springs .

Great video, beautiful scenery, loved the wheat waving in the wind. Is that privately owned land or owned by the city?
@stephandegroot32345 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Just wondering regarding the farm save seed you are planting. Are there a tipe of royalty being payed to the seedcompany who bred the wheat variety? The cost for developing new wheat varieties is very high.

Thats all we run out here is hillside machines unless its a gleaner.

Freaking awesome how em combines tilt sideways to go on the hill. Never seen them do that before. Do u know how much travel it went from side to side an did they do the same thing goin up an down a hill?
@randybrechbiel97485 жыл бұрын
The John Deere dealer in Steptoe Washington has a ramp that is about 5 feet tall that they will drive one wheel up on and and the combine will still be level

Our 8240's are 35% and the shoe of the combine levels an extra 10%
@macoyreiber4482 Жыл бұрын
Back in the day the 1470s and 95Hs would level 44 degrees. Nowadays they only level the whole machine into the mid-30s and case takes the shoe another ten.
