So glad I found this....thanks Pete for posting. I haven't heard Eric live in many a year, and he sounds exactly the same as I remember. Gosh, the new songs are amazing. But of course the old 'uns are always wonderful to hear as well. I"ve been singing my heart out..... Take care, love the trio and Eric as always...

I have just stumbled on this recording of the concert so thanks Pete Titchener for posting it in it’s entirety. Some wonderful songs and and fabulous fiddle work by Emma just sorry that she could not have been with Eric and John when he toured the UK. The first time I heard of Eric was in 1975 when June Tabor finished her set at Keele Festival with And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. There was a standing ovation for it for a while afterwards it was referred to as THE SONG. A couple of years later when June was staying with me after her gig at The Topic Folk Club I remarked I would like to hear Eric singing it. A couple of days later a tape of Eric recorded live at Cumbernauld Folk Club dropped on my mat. I was hooked on Eric’s songwriting from then on, he was firmly on my list for future bookings at our club. I achieved that in 1982 when not only having the pleasure of a stellar night at the club but having Eric, Carmel and John staying with me after the gig. I have continued to be an admirer of his songwriting ever since. So sorry he is not touring the UK anymore, could not get a ticket for either of his CONCERTS in Edinburgh. Continue to keep up with him with John and now Pete. Was also an admirer of John’s solo songwriting and have a couple of his solo CDs.I also caught up with John, Pete and and Mike O’ Callaghan when MOT toured England and have the CD. So Pete keep posting the live performance Video’s for the befit of us in the UK who can not get to see him live anymore.

I do think the addition of fiddle to Eric's music over recent years has been a great addition to the overall effect - and the fact that Emma Luker has a lovely voice is a bonus to boot

Thanks SO much for posting this Pete. Mary & I have been following Eric now for over 40 years, both in England & for the last 23 years, here in Australia. It is such pleasure to both hear & see both you & Emma adding to each performance - and so special to see the aging chap (we're the same age) still working the pipes! Looking forward to your next concert up here in the Northern Rivers. Best regards, also good to see "our" guitar mellowing beautifully!

I've been an Eric fan since the 1970s, first of all in Sydney and most recently saw him in concert in the tiny village hall in the beautiful Cardrona Valley, New Zealand. I guess we have all grown old together, so it was wonderful to hear him in such good spirits and good voice. Your stories and your songs keep us going. Don't ever stop, we love you, Eric.

Thanks so much for posting the entire concert, Pete! I surely do miss those concerts with your boss when he still toured the states! We had SO much fun when he came through Chicago back in the day that it must’ve been illegal! It always involved Mexican food and hilarity! Part of the fun, of course, was when he toured with his straightman/sidekick, John Munro. The two of them together were the proverbial “barrel of monkeys”! I guess that’s your job now, Pete-you and that wonderful violinist, Emma-but it’s a big one because you’d have to convince him to come to Chicago again! I probably don’t have to tell you but that’s a *really* tall order!!! In the meantime, carry on & keep on keeping on, because you guys sound just frigging incredible!!! ❤

In 1986 I was introduced to Eric scraps of pepper now I’m easy by a mate Steve we would listen and listen for hours . As happens Steve moved away but left me Eric it’s been 35 years and you are simply the best song writer your songs give me solace and the only artists I’ve seen multiple times 🙏🙏

Thanks a lot for posting this. I’ve discovered very recently this amazing treasure of music and as I live very far from Australia, there are a very few chances that I’ll see him perform one day. He knows how to speak directly to people’s souls. Thanks too to Emma and you for being such amazing musicians. I am so frustrated to live in a country where the music isn’t that emotional and where we don’t know Eric Bogle admirable skills. It sucks that I will probably never see him in a concert.

This is one of the concerts; if the audience was having half as much fun as the musicians, they were having a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing! All the best to you three musicians.

Delighted to find this clip of Eric in full flight, sharing the joy of singing, his poetry and his brilliant raconteuring. Having followed Eric since an 80s Canberra concert, it is a joy to see him thriving, well lubricated vocal chords and as irreverent as ever. The beauty of technology means Eric can be chromecast to my Living Room TV, my very own Eric concert, easy Sunday morning listening.

We were across in Tassie a few years ago - April, actually. A truly wonderful place; spooky sometimes - eg Point Puer - but I never realised there was such a music festival; thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention.

The Green Fields of France always reminds me of my paternal grandfather. I lived in the same house when I was a kid and remember him coughing all the time because of the gas from the trenches at Passchendaele. He lived with the horror for the rest of his life, the same as my dad whose horror was jungle warfare in Burma during WW2. it happened again and again and again. We really have to stop it, don't we?
