Another handy trick with the spellcasters is that it gives you the ability to resurrect ghost sims. Whenever a sim dies, all you have to do is have your spell caster learn the deathdefy spell (or just add the sage of untamed magic to your household) summon the ghost, and use the deathdefy spell on them, and it will immediately bring them back to life. A bonus of this is that whenever you do this, it resets the day count on the sim that died, so you can essentially have a sim stay the same age forever for free if you do it over and over again. It’s so useful when I’ve had my sims accidentally die for stupid reasons

​@@lani6327Hmm, I never had to have a spellcaster try it on themselves either, but if you do the spell on someone make sure they are a good level for the spell to work, I have 2 girls that are spellcasters, they are sisters and I cheated them to know all spells cause I wanted to see the spells work, so I had one girl cast it on some random ghost and the spell failed and she became a ghost, I thought she was gonna stay like that, so I had her sister cast the spell on her and it failed, and they were both ghosts, but luckily it does wear off after a long while, so if it happens, just have some fun possessing items cause it's gonna be a wait.

Spellcasters are so OP. I think realm of magic is a kind of underrated pack, mostly because the world is small, and the builds are terrible. But the actual spellcaster system is so cool and detailed and useful. If it had lore, like werewolves, it would be absolutely top-tier.

I want to add something to the insurance fraud thing. If your Spellcaster has the Burgliate spell, you can go around and swipe objects (including beds which you can't do with the Klepto trait, btw) and then use those items to commit your fraud and it's pure profit from there. I did a challenge once where i furnished my entire house using Burgliate. It takes a while because like the Klepto trait, there is a cool down, but it's not a bad way to furnish a new house. LOL!

Another thing--about the cooldown--if you get caught casting Burgliate, _it still works._ Your sim gets an 8-hour embarrassed moodlet, but they also get the item. And, since the cooldown on the spell is tied to the moodlet (and you can use a mirror to get rid of embarrassment early, whereas there is no way to speed up the decay of the energized moodlet), you can use this to steal things more frequently than you otherwise could! Just make sure another sim is in the room when you cast the spell.

I had a natural born vampire spellcaster hybrid. She had the ancient bloodline and could do magic and I could add her to spellcaster only clubs. She had vampire needs and could also be added to vampire only clubs

@@eamza7455 hybrids are disabled by default you need a mod to enable them/stabilize them hybrids can and are very buggy (I think you can also just use cheats to add the occult traits to the sim if you don't want to use mods but just be aware it's a buggy mess without the mods)

Great vid! Spellcasters also are OP dumpster divers: scruberoo to clean yourself off, repairio on the items you fish out of the dumpster, and you can cast delicioso a couple times and drag the plates to the dumpsters if they're empty and you need to dive for deals/meals/etc. also the broom cuts travel time down between all the different dumpsters

I love tips like this one, I drop another about inferniate, plus scruberoo to clean your save file of stuck gameplay objects around the world, only able to be delete with MOD normaly, unless you have the spellcasters! With your tips here for the dumbster diving, I would add the carefree reward trait to make sure your spellcaster never overload, and use spell indefenitely.

Oh I never thought of having a spellcaster go dumpster diving, another good tip though is that a spellcaster can use chillo spell to put out a fire if someone gets caught on fire while cooking, it's a lot faster than an extinguisher, not sure how but I even had a spellcaster autonomously put out her mom when her mom caught on fire a second time while cooking, before I could have her use the spell again she had already cast it and put out the fire, and I didn't even think spellcasting could be an autonomous action.

You know these objects in cities where you can collect posters from? That's right, they can be Copypasto as well and will go to your family inventory. At home you can bring them out, copypasto them even more, place them on your lot and collect posters from them very 24 hours or so. Very quick collection completion.

it's completely foolproof (99.99% success rate) to kill a sim with inferniate if you command the sim to sleep and then inferniate the bed/couch/bench 💁‍♀

I never knew that the normal spell could kill a sim, I did know however about a mod that has deadly spells that a spellcaster can do on people though to make them become a deadly spellcaster.

I use inferniate to kill all the time because of you mentioning it in another RoM video! It has been integral to my storytelling, thank you so much Petey, you're such a gem for sharing all your knowledge with us ❤ my "did you know?" contribution is that if you have a spellcaster who is friends with the sages, if one of those sages turns one of your Sim's teens into a spellcaster, your Sim will lose friendship with the sage. L is now my Sim's enemy because she turned my Sim's son, whereas they had been besties prior.

Also, if your sim as a spellcaster get a science baby, then the baby will start out with the weak magical bloodline. Continuing this goes straigt into ancient by the time their grandchildren are born.

The burning thing just wont work outside of a lot, and like you said community lot, to avoid... really you want to enclosed them into a room in a house, start the fire at their feet and have the reward trait that make your sim never tense... this way they dont go over their mind, and you can continu to cast fire over and over until work, if it did not work, otherwise they will panic and you cant do anything lol. Another handy thing about inferniate, is for all the object that get stuck in the world, like bikes, clay, futur cubes, books and harvestables... you can burn them and dont need an actual MOD to clean your save file, again, the reward trait to never feel tense is a must. Also scruberoo to be able to clean off the ash piles! I also notice my sims who has that bloody reward trait that make them not tense (whats the name ffs lol) will not overcharged, because I believe they become tense when they are overcharged? Not sure if this is a bug, but I have a spellcaster which who I test the limits, and it was limitless!

*snork* I actually DID know all of these (well, almost, I didn't know that you could straight up copy money trees), but you certainly explained them in a very entertaining way! And I can confirm that Copypasto is OP -- as previously mentioned on another video, I have a grocery store I'm setting up with my three cottagecore occults, and my spellcaster is kind of instrumental in filling up the shelves by Copypastoing things like animal treats, produce, and herbalism potions. Can't have him do it too often, but it is a GREAT help!

Herbio can also conjure rarer plants at a high charge level - some testing needed as I don't use it a whole lot (I prefer traditional plant gathering for some reason), but I've had death flowers from them. Plus it can be used to revive dead plants. Also, Burgliate may be a bit broken as maybe a year-ish ago, I saw it available when clicking on a vending machine. At the time, my Sim did not know a single spell, so I don't know how it got there. He was able to successfully steal it.

I have NEVER been able to kill a sim with inferniate. Not even if I stand them on a rug, surround them by furniture, and set everything around them on fire. They always put it out. :-( I also never get visited by Vlad, even if I live in the vampire world. But people online always say these things happen. I don't know what I'm doing differently.

my personal favourite (broken) use of the copypasto spell is to have my sims go to selvadorada, find one of those 10.000 simoleon treasures, copy it, and profit

Spellcasters also have a foolproof way to make money once they hit the rank below master(don't recall off the top of my head). Get the perk that lets you buy off the Spellcaster Alley vendors are 50% of value. Immediately sell anything you buy from the Tome or Crystal vendor for 80% of its retail price netting you a cool 60% profit. No spellcasting or potions necessary just buy then sell. In 10-15 minutes you can go from 10k to a million Simoleans.

Something about Familiars: A Spellcaster Sim can bind any number of Familiars to themselves but can only summon one active Familiar at a time. There are 11 different Familiar Orbs & a Sim can bind them all, but if that Sim tries to summon one when there's already a Familiar active, the first Familiar goes inactive & the second one will appear. ie- only the most recently-summoned Familiar can be active. To be honest, I wasn't aware that Inferniate cast on the *ground* has greater effect than directly on a Sim, so that's something new to me. I was already aware of everything else though. Heck, for that matter, most of the other Occult-type Sims can also become Spellcasters without much problem. The only problem I've run into so far is if a Merfolk takes advantage of a trip to the Magic Realm, it kind of glitches with the Mer's ability to transform when swimming. The transformation *into* their tailed form to swim with is not affected but coming ashore again, I find that their tail will simply "split apart" to make two tails for walking on land...But then they don't *walk* across land, rather they swim along the ground as if they were still in water then stand up again when they reach the destination point. The only way I've found to correct it is to use cheats to remove the Merfolk Trait, save the game, reload it again then restore the Merfolk Trait...And still have to do that *every time* after they come ashore from a swim, just so that they can walk around normally. Other than that, I haven't found any problems with mixing magic in with any other Occult style.

I had a spellcaster who eated a kelp, just to see what it does, and end up bathing with is humans feets extending like a merfolk tail lol, I havent been able to solve that issue yet, even with the cheat you mentionned...

@@Klondike877 I keep getting the same kind of glitch, regardless if the Sim made in CAS (as a Mage or a Mer) then played to obtain the other status during play, it makes no difference if both conditions are made in gameplay, either legitimately (going to Magic Realm or using Mermadic Kelp) or with cheats...The result is always the same. It just doesn't matter what I try or what order I try them in, it ends up with the glitch. And yes, I was thorough & methodical about the whole sequence of attempts. I have no problem adding Magery to Werewolves, Vampires, Aliens, & Plant Sims (there might be some glitching in the Simology *display* but nothing that noticeably affects actual gameplay); it's a problem with *only* Merfolk. It's a real strain on immersion when I have to save, reload, then immediately apply cheats to the game just to continue playing. When EA can't even make their packs compatible with each other... If there's *anyone* who knows how to fix this (anything short of breaking the game as a whole, that is), I'd appreciate it.

An interesting, perhaps not that game changing secret: If a normal sim who has a magical bloodline requests the rite of ascension to any of the sages, they will perform it without requiring the quest of the motes. It is a tiny thing but still good for storytelling.

Necrocall works at any time of day, not just at night! The ghosts will still stick around for a while after being called! Also, I love magical insurance fraud. It's one of my favorite ways to make money in the sims, just because it's fun.

You could also cast the repair spell on llama wool to improve its quality. I don't know if this is a perk that still exists... I used to be able to cast scrubero on animal pens to clean them but I can't anymore.

It works on most things with a quality value, including craftables. Unfortunately, it does not increase its value too.

@@Robert_Burnell-Jones The trick for getting the value to increase when using repairio on craftables is to leave the lot after casting the spell and returning. I found this out with the craftable furniture from the wood working table. I repario'd a "normal" chair and it became "excellent" but it's comfort stat remained the same as normal. Until I left the lot and returned the next day. Then I noticed the repario'd chair had become incidental to a naturally crafted excellent chair.

Also for PC users there is a mod that lets your child spellcasters be able to do magic, which is really useful if you want to have a magic school, or in case a child needs to put out their parents in case they catch themselves on fire. Then they can use scrubberoo to clean their parents after the fire is out.

they only work if you travel to the lot that has the recreation center and go from there to the trails! I don't know why, it doesn't make sense. it's still buggy but at least it's possible at all

I think fires aren't really supposed to be able to happen on community lots, so it's kinda "cheating the system" in a way to conjure fires there using magic. That's probably why it works better on residential lots.

I used to commit insurance fraud all the time in Sims 3. If I remember right, you could cast infernite on a bank spot on your lot, put it out, have it destroy nothing, and still get insurance money. Whenever I got low on funds, I'd just spam the spell a few times It's been years since I've played, so the insurance fraud method may be the same as Sims 4 and I'm just remembering wrong

Payback against Vladislaus Straud? Unfortunately, based on my gameplay experience, I think there's a popular mod out there (don't know which one) that's preventing vampires from invading your home at all. Oh sure, there is another mod called "Vampires Everywhere", which seems to fix it, but it only seems to work in one of my saves. Unless I'm wrong, the mod may have been updated since I last played that save.
