Thanks so very much! I love your channel. I have learned to be creative with sewing after retirement by watching KZbin videos.

I'm weird myself, so perfectly at home on your channel. If everyone was perfect, the world wouldn't be so fun. Had a friend once that thought she was " perfect", but couldn't stand my " weirdness". I now leave the negativity myself too. It's so much more fun to be positive.😁🥰

Today's word.... authentic! I actually printed this out when you said you were going to do the tutorial yesterday but didn't look at it. I was thinking the "binding" was going to be a royal pain and when you flipped the bag right sides out I was flabbergasted! OMG! no binding!!!??? Happy danicin' over here! Thanks for the tute!

I loved this tutorial! It was like having a camera in my sewing room, lol. " Oh wait, i was supposed to do what? " We are sewing sisters! ❤ But it all ends well. 😊Cute basket and they are so handy, I use mine as a holder for keys too. Hope you have a great day!

I am in total agreement: NO shorts! There are other channels I"m subscribed to that do a lot of shorts and I never watch them. Your little basket tutorial is just awesome. You did such a good job, I'm not downloading the pattern, I'm just following your tutorial. You make me chuckle when you get flustered and say silly little things. No one better not be mean or rude to our girl, Holly. We love you just as you are! Thank you for this tutorial. xo

Hi Beautiful Holly,🤗 I'm so glad that you didn't edit out the little hiccups along the way, while teaching us how to make Annie's Petite Fors. It really does teach us MORE! And it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only imperfect crafter/sewer... I'm like you in so many ways with memory issues and other stuff. This is a really great tutorial Holly. Thank you. Your fabric boxes are lovely and I'll be making some for my remote controls and other stuff. Love Ya Girl❣🙂 XOXOXOXO. P.S. Pellon stabilizers will probably work just fine. I purchased some for making fabric boxes...but havent tried it out yet. When I make a box with it, I'll let you know how it works out.

What a cute little Basket. You are correct as in nothing works as well as Soft and Stable. I have used interfacing when making baskets when it called for Bosal ( had to order) and ended up using interfacing!! Soft and Stable for the definitions in corners etc. My brain is foggy a lot I have no reason sew we are good. That’s is my favorite hairpiece flowers you have, maybe cause it’s purple in it! ❤️ 🤗

Hi Holly. Another great tutorial. These baskets are easy and fun to make. I've discovered if you line up clips across the top edge and leave it for a few hours, it will help shape the top edge of the basket.

Look at you 4K followers yay Holly I just wanted to say I made this again yesterday and instead of leaving room where it says I left room on top to flip!! That does not work! Well it works but when you have to sew around on the inside you really can’t see or feel seam well enough so it looks right! Just an FYI for all. 😊
@susanowen170911 ай бұрын
"Line adjacent" "a quarter inch, or something like a quarter inch" "this is kinda-sorta a quarter inch seam. Sometimes it is, but sometimes it isn't." It's nice to see I'm not the only person who sews that way, LOL 🙂 These baskets are really nice, and such an interesting way of boxing the corners. These seem like something you'd have out when guests come over, filled with little wrapped candies to put on the end tables, or k-cups & tea bags in the kitchen so they can brew up a cuppa if they're early risers, or perhaps some pads/tampons in the bathroom in case Aunt Flo comes to visit unexpectedly. Just might have to make a couple of these.

To remove those marking lines after the basket is made, turn the basket over a warm light bulb and rub. My mother used to iron the little puffed sleeves on toddler dresses this way.

Holly! I just got this pattern the other day, and I found your tutorial delightful! I feel like your floral headpiece matches your personality perfectly. I'm planning to start my project tomorrow! I have two questions! First, what do you keep in your library catalog cabinet? I haven't seen one since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s! Obsessed! Also your tiny iron is giving me "I neeed that" vibes. Can you share the brand or where you got it? I'm adding your tutorial to my sewing youtube album. I'm so glad I found you, I'll be checking out your other content creations! Sincerely, Erica
@DandelionStitches11 ай бұрын
Hi Erica! Those little Petit Four baskets are like chips, you can't make just one. I keep fat quarters in the card catalog. I used to work in a library and when they went digital they didn't want the cabinet anymore. I did!! My iron is a Oliso. I recently replaced the one in the video with a newer model. You can't go wrong with an Oliso.
@shes78rpms11 ай бұрын
@DandelionStitches Hi Holly! I am absolutely making at least two! I collect fabric with cats on them, so I'm really excited to cut into one! I'm thinking of a coordinating solid lining. I am so jealous of your library acquisition, and I love the idea of fat quarters in the drawers! So inspiring! I'll look for an Oliso iron, it's always a struggle to iron small spaces with a big standard iron. I'm so tired of balancing seams on varying sizes of dowels. Thank you so much for sharing!

Great tutorial Holly, thanks. It is helpful to get your tips; and I know when a friend is showing me how to do something, when they say "oops" it is really helpful to learn what not to do! What is that yellow/orange strip on your machine that helps to keep your fabric straight and, I assume, at the right 1/4 or 1/2 inch, etc. width for seams? Thanks for all your positivity! Be well, Fern in Minn

Cute basket. I don’t have patience for small items. I would suggest decovil heavy, but that would become very difficult to turn and it could possibly end up a wrinkled mess. I’m not a fan of foam. I think EVERYONE is weird to a certain extent, and really it’s just that we are all different. 😊
