i discovered this song 4 years ago. I was 13, and was in a bad place, mentally. Every time I think about that period in my life, I also remember the nights I’d lay in my bed for hours, listening to this song. “You” provided me comfort and reassurance; more than I got from anyone else at the time. On the cold mornings, this song give me a reason to get up for school. On dreadful nights, this song gave me a hug, when all I wanted to do was hide from any physical interaction. I’m now 17, a senior in highschool, and listening to this song in the same bed I’d cry for hours in, really gets me choked up. I’m proud of the growth I’ve had. For example, it reminds me of Lee from The Walking Dead Game's death, or Finn from The 100's death. Whenever I hear this song I think about waking up in the morning for school in the winter time. The way I’d start my day was by walking out of my house with a breakfast sandwich and hot cocoa in my hands.
