Elana, I was so looking forward to this video! Thanks for sharing it. There are lots of beautiful ideas, and you're right; Sezane offers gorgeous pieces. Personally, the challenging part of dressing for work arises because I have to carry a heavy backpack daily. It limits the use of beautiful coats, blazers, and jackets (I want to protect them). So, I always have to rethink my outfits based on that and focus on keeping my style underneath more functional outwear. My best trick is layering.

I love all of those outfits, very stylish and beautiful. I love your short hairstyle, btw, it looks really pretty! The trench coat in outfit 1 kind of makes me think of "Carmen Sandiego". You may be a little young to get the reference, but it's super awesome that you got me thinking of a game series and TV show from back in the day. Except hers was red (she also had a fancy red hat). Outfit 2 looks absolutely stunning. It looks multi-use, like both office and date night (both the white and black blazers look amazing), I know I'd be impressed if a woman I was dating showed up in that outfit. Same with outfit 8 and outfit 9. Do you have a modeling background? I was wondering because you did such an amazing job with those outfits!

Hello! Great video! I was looking through videos for work outfit ideas, and I clicked on this one because I'm petite too, and your sizes are actually similar to mine, but you're taller than me since I'm 4'10. I like your outfits, but I don't have any blazers, and I think they're too formal for my work. I struggle finding clothes that fit me even if they're in the petite sections because often they are too long. What shoe size do you wear? I wear size 4, but I can't find that size, so I buy size 5 and then just put a padded heel grip on the inside

I’m retired now, but I still like to wear “Smart Casual” when I’m out and about. I wear enough leggings, tees and baggy dresses for summer, at home, so I love to wear my skirts, dresses, tailored trousers, blazers, etc. when I do go somewhere. Only wearing athletic or gym clothes in black and gray, as most people do where I live, would really depress me. I don’t like that style or those colors, and I loathe the super-tight, hot and sweaty polyester and elastane fabrics of which they’re made. I don’t find them comfortable at all, they’re made to compress the body. Thanks for showing these looks🙂

I’m content to pay Sezane prices, or even higher, to get the quality I need, I just buy fewer items. I can’t wear the plastic synthetics like polyester or acrylic (the plant-based rayon/lyocell, etc. are fine) so that means I have to pay more, generally. I think we Americans are overly focused on price as the most important criterion. I ignore that at first, then if I really love every aspect of a piece, I check if I can afford it. If not, I will save up from my wardrobe budget for it, I have a monthly amount that I limit myself to, but often, use up. We in the US have enormous wardrobes of low-quality, trendy, items, but women in other places have fewer, higher-quality, more carefully chosen and timeless ones. I stick to classic, but modern, styles for the greatest longevity of my items; I choose them as forever pieces, if possible. Some might eventually date, but not as quickly as, say, the current trends like bubble skirts and feather trim.🙂

Elana, thank you!! I look forward for a video on cute Summer dresses. I would love to see a video on exercise clothes or perhaps you have one already? Yes, exercise pants even the ones for petites are still a bit long for me. Those exercise bras with the thick padding are not good for me . I'm top heavy and to buy exercise bras that already comes with breasts inside leaves no room for me to place mine in there. I hope the industry that creates those can create some that keeps the breasts protected and lifted without placing a think pad inside. One can say...just remove the pad, hey that doesn't work because at a certain age our "girls" are a bit saggy specially on us who are not too young any more. So it would be nice to hear your opinion those.

But, one of the sleeves on the Revolve blazer isn’t set and stitched properly, it’s puckered and wrinkled. All seams should be smooth and free of puckering, that’s sloppy workmanship and a sign of low quality; it doesn’t speak well of the brand’s quality control at all (I’m not familiar with this brand). I would have sent it back. It’s difficult to see the stitching on the black one because of the way you’re holding it and because it’s black, which, along with other dark colors, can minimize the appearance of quality defects that lighter colors can’t.
