I love this video! I’ve watched many times. I didn’t do well with my first canes but this is so much fun to watch! I won’t give up with polymer clay! Even Stephanie said, there’s no reason to hold us back in polymer clay, tools can be toothpicks, razor blades etc. I love Stephanie’s channel!

I sell a lot of polymer clay ( i also use it) so if this helps people.... The harder/firmer to work with brands (best for caning etc) are kato (which cannot be mixed with other brands), fimo professional, fimo soft and then maybe primo for simple stuff. For general stuff (such as jewellery making or small sculptures) i would recommend fimo, fimo professional, and premo, sculpey souflee and cernit. Generally I only recommend pardo for speciality translucent jewellery making. For sculpey 3, sculpey original, and fimo air dry etc are great for crafts (and kids) for times that the work doesn't require much strength or detail work.

Hi. It was very interesting the way you make the cane. I'll try it. May I ask something off-topic? Me and my husband are thinking about going to Europe and I would like to know how much, approximately, I'll spend with food in a month. I'm thinking about cooking instead of going to restaurants. Sorry to ask but we don't know anyone to help us with this. Thanks.
@stephanie.kilgast
@stephanie.kilgast 8 жыл бұрын
It very much depends where you are going, as not all countries are as expensive. Germany is much cheaper than France for instance. Also, it depends where you buy and what you want (organic, huge supermarket, local market, etc.) But roughly count about 200€ per person per month. You can spend less if you're careful and more if you aren't. As a student I would spend just 100€ per month, but now we are more at 200-250, but we are not careful and just buy what we want (local market for veggies, and then mostly organic but not all - we aren't strict) And we buy only vegan to cook at home. If you plan on buying quality meat/fish/cheese, it's going to be more expensive. That being said, most people I know tell me they spend around 200 € per person per month, on various diets. Hope that helps!

Stephanie K. PetitPlat Hi Stephanie. Thank you so much for answering. Certainly your answer will help a lot. Our diet is gluten/milk free. I did some research and saw that the things we consume are quite cheap in Europe. You said that depends on the country, do you know if Italy is more or less expanse that France? Again, thanks a lot.
@stephanie.kilgast
@stephanie.kilgast 8 жыл бұрын
I think Italy is about the same. I went there just once, but I don't recall it being very expensive. Gluten free might be an issue though. (pizza and pasta)

+Larissa Amurov I live in Finland, Europe and if you come here sometimes in summer(recommended :D) for a vacation. .here almost everything is gluten and/or laktos free and it is always written with huge letters on the packages :) For example there is about 3 different types of laktos free milks and other things :) Finland is also a pretty country if you like flat bedrocks and huge spruceforests :D It is kindof cheap, if we look at the money that people get for their job :) (minimum is about 1200€ or something per month) So yeah I recommend Finland for a beautiful natural experiment with over 1000 lakes and more than 70% forest :) (this is more about the souther parts, where I used to live)
