I recently redesigned one of my favourite couples houses (Lopez and Zell) and i've created a whole new story for them Lopez is a fashion designer. He has a little sewing area with boxes of materials and sketches of designs, and I even used the fashion doll as a little mannequin to model small versions of his outfits. Meanwhile, Zell is a photographer, with a mini photo studio where he can take pictures of the clothes. Around their house, they have lots of magazines, and i like to imagine that Zell's photos are in them. They're fashion boyfriends who get to work together while living in an upscale modern apartment in the city and ahhhhhhh i love them so muchhhhhh

Pet name suggestions & headcanons: Megan always wanted a dog, but her parents knew no breed would be happy in their cramped city apartment with only a square patch of grass and a tree parading as a park to visit, so she had to settle for smaller animals. This is one of the many reasons she romanticized the countryside, as much as she loved "the little cherries on top of the sundae of her life." The one she took with her when she finally saved enough to go on vacation is Mudpie, the goofiest guy she knows. He predictably LOVES rolling in mud, but also exploring and making new friends (had many conversations with the electrical sockets because he mistook them for faces, dragged plushies much bigger than him around to play, etc.), so he felt like the perfect companion. Puddles' texts were always as erratic as her in real-life, but especially when she positively _freaked_ over the videos Megan sent of him all the time. Once their relationship _finally_ stopped being long-distance, he settled into the new environment surprisingly quickly, even for him! Maybe having company helped... Puddles' logical choice for a pet would've been a cat, as she lived on a farm infested with mice, but they were too _cute_ to get rid of and when a neighbor had a litter of puppies who needed adopting, how could she say no to that adorable face!? Boots, or Strawberry or Strawbs or Cherry or Blossom or whatever name Puddles feels like at the moment (but mainly Boots), is an energetic, loving, gentle gal. Whenever her owner's ADHD distracts her from the chores that need to be done, Boots nudges her back in that direction, and when she's too exhausted to get out of bed, she'll be there, laying supportively on her chest. Their adventures to get to know more people and find accessories found nowhere but these metroplises are the best! While Puddles will always be her favorite, Megan is a more than welcome addition to the family, doubling the love and excitement she gets daily. At first, she and Mudpie were seperated in the fear she'd hurt him, but one day, she figured out how to knock his cage down and when the couple frantically ran to see what happened, they were discovered cuddling together. Now they have constant, short play sessions throughout the day (running through the flower fields, chilling near each other, etc.). If left alone too long, Boots leads steal-the-snack missions with him, even though they already get some treats made specifically for them so they don't get sick... Can't get too mad when they've got puppy eyes on their side, though! Zucker spent his childhood in grassy fields as his family wanted to connect more to their roots, believing in Shintoism. He respected not only animals but objects, finding everything to house kami (in the essence of existence sense). Every year, they'd fly to a festival, his parents engaging with old friends, him going on a taste-testing rampage (learning his favorite food is takoyaki). One day, they peacefully passed on. Heartbroken, he traveled the world to soul-search, leading him to the little arctic patch still hosting his favorite, nostalgic celebration. When he opened his backpack, he saw a cricket that had stowed away with him and survived the entire journey! "There's no such thing as luck," so he figured kami (in the beings sense) accompanied him across continents to give him a sign. That's what spurred him to ask Deli about co-running the place no matter the season. Recognizing the fellow kid who'd give him a laugh scarfing down _way_ too many panipuri from his dad's stand, he agreed, and their relationship bloomed from there. Kikai mistakes Zucker's gyroids as potential mates, singing tunes suspiciously similar to his mother's humming in the kitchen and father's lullabies. He loves listening to his owner's rambles on fossils, often soothing him to sleep. Whatever scraps are safe for him to eat (carrots, potatoes, etc.), he happily accepts. Most of the time he remains in his enclosure, but occasionally sneaks out to sing to Dhruva, moonlight glistening on the softly lapping waves. Deli never expected the phrase "koi machher pran" ("life of koi fish," referring to resilience as the Gangetic koi can live a long time outside water) to mean so much to him, but an unfortunate incident knocked the wind out of the sails of those who constantly visited and were planning to for the first time alike. After he had a frustrated breakdown over how he felt like a failure, struggling to afford to make meals even with the kindness from their community as there's not much to go around here, he and Zucker huddled near the fire. As he recounted that phrase, a koi fish manifested in the flames, and feeling this was a message, they walked to the outskirts of their humble home, inexplicably watching a koi majestically swim to them. The two, after Deli learned Zucker was a Shintoist and Zucker learned Deli was a Buddhist, decided to convert to shinbutsu-shūgō, a mix of both, not quite one or the other, forming something unique (like how they're queerplatonic!) As such, Deli thought this to be a buddha kami letting him know they'd persevere. Overcoming the three poisons, he adopted Dhruva despite what little they had (greed), truly apologized for yelling at Zucker (anger), and remembered his standards of success were as arbitrary as his existence (ignorance). Soon after, business boomed again. Whenever Deli spirals, Dhruva lashes viciously in his pond, warning him to continue on the path of enlightment. Deli, with Zucker's encouraging, dips heirlooms into the habitat, which Dhruva loves circling. Dhruva's favorite video put on the TV is of fish swimming around as they can meditate together. The apprentice has many miles of the walk left, and Dhruva is proud of all of his steps. (Please let me know if I had any inaccuracies with the religions, I based all that off research, not experience, so I may've had misunderstandings ^^;)

Okay so my two gay grandpas are murphy and grizzly So Murphy had this dream of like making wreaths and growing flowers and selling them, and he started doing that but he wasn’t that good at marketing and got really shy, which is where grizzly comes in, he likes business and he has a successful fishing business where he sells fish. And i’d like to think that they met on a camping trip, and they are both avid campers and love the outdoors. So when they were talking grizzly was like “ oh yknow i could help you with getting your business seen and i can help with advertising.”. So they are working together on the flower and wreath business but grizzly still runs the fish shop, and while working together they started to fall in love Their hhp home for the bottom floor is Murphy’s shop on the left and grizzly’s shop on the right.

Also for the Koi fish, I'd imagine her name to be Lani (punnily named after the Long dragon), because there's a tale where a fish would swim up the stream and turn into a dragon!

Im obssessed with the hamster villagers. Hamlet is my favorite. Bruh Tybalt the tiger and Hamlet the hamster would be a cute ship because their both named after characters from Shakespeare. I also ship Rodney the Hamster with Louie the gorilla. Rodney is a huge smug video nerd and refrences Mario/Luigi in their dialogue. Louie is based off Donkey kong and does wear a mario bros shirt in some of the older games! Overall I love this series so much and its soooo cute!
