it's very thought provoking. It's impossible to carve out these rock structures as shown with the technology they had thousands of years ago. This is mind boggling...we need to study and figure out how they did this. Why they got wiped out? The civilization seemed very advanced to be able to cut stones so accurately and still got wiped out without a trace. How? Why? Why is there nothing documented on how they built it? If we want to prevent our future from being wiped out someday we need to study our past/ancestors. Many more sites like this in India as well...Kailsa Temples/caves.

@@jemimahkendall6579 There's a reason Jeff Bezos is building a clock inside of a mountain. Even with his billions he can only build something that he says can last maximum of 10k years...in cosmic timescale that's basically nothing. Earth is 4.5 BILLIONs yrs old...to think that evolution in that many years only brought us to this stage of humanity is foolish. More i watch these type of videos the more i'm convinced we need to dedicate more funding to figure out our past. With the technology that our ancestors had we should have been galactic species(from rockets to moon in less than 20 yrs...and to mars in less than 40 yrs).....something started the "cycle" again. Every religious book speaks of the great flood...hmmm. What can survive in complete/global flood and underwater for thousands of years? We need to remember....even if you put a satellite in orbit it can only last for few decades before it collapse back to earth. If you put something in orbit around Sun, anything metallic will deteriorate in few hundred years. Even our Mars rover will deteriorate into nothing in next decade. What can we leave for our future generation as a reminder? What man made structure can last millions of years?

Thank you for this straight to the point video of scenery. So much of what we tend to see of Petra are too few places--Al-Khazneh and the Siq. Amazing, but there is so much more to see here! The parts that I might enjoy best are actually the other places, some fill me with a different sort of wonder, wondering what all they were. I may never visit, partly out of respect, as tourism, while great for economies is not always good for what is toured. I'm grateful for videos like this.

The mute splendour of red sandstone Greco-Roman facades is steeped in mystery and breathtakingly captured in 4k panoramic screenplay. The intriguing emptiness of Nabataean rock-hewn tombs cries about the beguiling glory of a bygone people who have left their indelible mark for posterity and vanished in the sands of time. This remarkable video captures a holistic view of the historic site while breathing new life in this mystifying place.
