Something I didn't like so much of Petra is the excess of synth, but they're necessary. Now that John Lawry is back it sounds amazing, synths in their right place, and the "in your face" guitar sound. I loved it.

I have to say.. I think the mix on these songs is better than the Farewell album from 2005. Everything sounds fatter and thicker. Plus with the better variety of material, you should think about doing something with this audio. Also, the performance is very good. Sounds great!!

Jon still sounds pretty good. Way better a lot of his contemporaries from the 70s and 80s. Petra still sounds good as a whole… they could put a new album and it would sound decent.

These are Godly men that have been called, selected and appointed to fill a position of discipleship through music. They each have a unique quality.

@@jeremiahmakin8279 without a doubt, the reference was only to the sound and if the person is ministering, we would be edified and if not, it is just noise. However, it wouldl be safe to assume their motives are right, and about their personal walk, they would know and those close to them. Do they need to know how to play for the Lord, I would also assume that this is a given. Every drummer has a style. With all respect, they both are very good.
